During the 1960s and 70s, thousands of monuments commemorating the Second World War called ‘Spomeniks’ were built throughout the former Yugoslavia; striking monumental sculptures, with an angular geometry echoing the shapes of flowers, crystals, and macro-views of viruses or DNA. Making a Print-Ready Business Card Using Only Photoshop In this tutorial, we are going to design up a simple business card in Photoshop and get it ready for print with crop marks and bleed. Normally you'd do some of this with a tool like InDesign, but it is in fact possible to get by with just our trusty old Photoshop. Calling Card Competition Over at our sister site FreelanceSwitch, there is a competition to make business cards using vectors from a special Arsenal sample pack. Step 1 Ok, so the very first thing we need to do is create a New Document. When sending things off to printers however, you need to add a sort of border around the image called a Bleed. Because of a quirk of Photoshop (which you'll see later) we're going to use a value of 3mm. Note also that because we are making something for print you should set the Resolution to 300dpi and Color Mode should be set to CMYK. Step 2 Once the document is created, the first thing we need to add are some guides to show us where the edges of the business card are and where the bleed starts.

Rajacenna Draws Celebrity Portraits Rajacenna is an 18-year-old self-taught artist from the Netherlands who draws the most realistic portraits I have ever seen, using only pencils. I’m a big fan of realistic drawings, and I’ve previously featured amazing works like the pencil drawings of Paul Lung, the ballpoint pen portraits of Juan Francisco Casas, or Cristina Penescu’s detailed scratchboard masterpieces, but at only 18 years of age Rajacenna is in a league of her own. Born in 1993, she started modelling for various Dutch companies when she was only 4, and at 5 years old she made her first appearance on television. She starred in films, soap-operas and tv-series and at 12 she became the host of Kinderjournaal, the first Dutch web-tv for kids. She only took up drawing in 2009, and although she had never taken any art classes she produced some stunning pieces. Reddit Stumble
