Après avoir été analysé, joué, étudié, critiqué, mis en scène, adapté et réadapté, le barde a fait son entrée dans le monde du serious game : que peut-il encore remettre en jeu ? L’entreprise Serious Games International a mis 18 mois pour donner vie à l’application mobile « Eye Shakespeare ». Conçue en partenariat avec The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, elle permet de découvrir la ville natale du dramaturge. En marchant, le joueur découvre à la fois les lieux physiques, l’œuvre de l’auteur (l’application incluant des copies des textes originaux) et voyage dans le temps grâce à la réalité augmentée. Ett bra sätt att introducera den här romanen är att samla in vad eleverna känner till om Nordamerikas ursprungsbefolkning. Jag lät mina elever fundera över detta enskilt en liten stund, och sedan delade de med sig i par och slutligen i helklass. De tog med allt de visste, historiska aspekter så väl som nutida företeelser. Vi fastnade lite vid reservaten och redde ut vad det innebär. Efter att ha läst till och med kapitel 3 så stannar vi upp och sorterar ut vilka karaktärer vi har stött på och vilka funktioner dessa har. Vi har nu nått fram till och med kapitel 8, och det börjar bli väldigt intressant. Om eleverna går med på det så kommer ni att kunna ta del av slutresultaten här i bloggen framöver.

My initial guesses were ‘obsidian’ and ‘pain’ but actually neither feature in the top 20, which was compiled by Degenerate State using the following methodology: The 222,623 songs from 7364 rock and metal bands on database Dark Lyrics were cross-referenced with the Brown Corpus – a collection of documents published in 1961 covering a range of different genres and totalling roughly one million words. In combining statistics to show the frequency of words in both sources, he believes he has determined the “metalness” of each word. ‘Burn’ came out top, joined in the list by its hell-themed cousins ‘flames’ and ‘ashes’, followed by ‘cries’ and ‘veins’.
