Super Creative Sites That Will Kick You In The Gut and Keep You Coming Back... The following is my top 7 list of odd, zany, emotional websites that will kick you in the gut and keep you coming back for more. These kinds of sites are consistently most inspiring to me. They have the raw emotion that I crave and feed off daily. Both the concept and content of all these sites are creative. PostSecret Okay. a softer world This is an incredible combination of artsy photography and written word. a beautiful revolution I don’t think this one is as well known as the last 2, but it’s definitely a gold mine. explodingdog A nonsensical name (totally my style), but an inspiring artist. Awful Drawings This dude emailed me as I was writing this post (believe it or not) and I’m totally into it. FOUND Magazine Heard about this one a couple years ago and loved the concept. Nonsense Thoughts At the risk of looking like an ass-hole I am going to plug my own creation: Nonsense Thoughts.

Guest Comic: The Adventures of Abe and Mr. Pennybags | Up Up Down Down I talk to Brian Russell, writer, artist, and creator of The Underfold comic (as well as today’s guest strip) several times a week. We talk a lot of webcomic shop. We support each other’s work, discuss marketing strategy, mass audience interest, and share tips. Brian has been doing The Underfold for longer than Up Up Down Down has existed and is very generous with his experience and time. If you’re familiar with The Underfold that is to your credit. Up Up Down Down benefits a lot from Brian’s input. A few weeks back I read Brian’s new mission statement. I think that’s worked great for us.

6 Adorable Cat Behaviors With Shockingly Evil Explanations There seem to be two kinds of people in the world: those who don't understand cats, and those who think cats are kind of douchebags. Unfortunately for cat lovers, science has kind of come down on the side of that second group. Research has revealed that a lot of the quirky and even cute things your kitty does are actually signs that your cat is kind of a dick. Meowing to Imitate a Baby Human Cats have many different ways of communicating, but the meow is every cat's go-to vocalization when it wants to tell us something; be it, "I'm hungry," "pay attention to me" or "I just took a dump, go clean it up." A recent study has shown that people subconsciously can tell the difference between a pleading or soliciting meow and a run of the mill, casual one just by listening to sound clips taken from different felines in different situations. In fact, further studies have proven that a cat's cry for food or attention shares a remarkable similarity in frequency to a baby's cry. And guess what?

50 Uses for Vaseline | Christina Loves... This is one of my favorite products from Vaseline, their Vitalizing Gel Body Oil. I keep it by the tub, and use it on my wet body before I dry off. It leaves you totally smooth and very nice and moisturized without being greasy (after a very few minutes anyway). They are not expensive, and totally worth a try.
