Habitually Chic® » Revisting Chateau de Primard Revisting Chateau de Primard by habituallychic Over four years ago, I wrote about Catherine Deneuve’s house in Normandy with grounds designed by landscape architect Jacques Wirtz was for sale. She took it off the market or it didn’t find a buyer until recently. Chateau de Primard was where she kept her haute couture collection of fashions made for her by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent over their 40 year friendship. “On 24 January in Paris, during Haute Couture Fashion Week, Christie’s will auction close to 130 of the haute couture ensembles YSL made for his favourite private client, along with several Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche pieces, with around 170 further lots offered in a special online sale 23-30 January.” I wonder if an auction of the chateau will be next.

Vincent Schiavelli Vincent Andrew "Vince" Schiavelli (November 11, 1948 – December 26, 2005) was an American character actor, comedian and food writer noted for his work on stage, screen and television,[1] often described as "the man with the sad eyes." He was notable for his numerous supporting roles. He often linked his unique facial appearance and tall stature to Marfan syndrome.[citation needed] Before his death in 2005, Vincent Schiavelli was considered by many as one of Hollywood's best character actors. Roger Ebert stated "Schiavelli had a way of slipping into films without people knowing his name, but they remembered his great performances as unique characters." Early life[edit] Schiavelli was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a Sicilian-American family, John Schiavelli and Katherine Coco. Career[edit] He wrote a number of cookbooks and food articles for various magazines and newspapers, notably Gourmet, Saveur and the Los Angeles Times.
