Chocolatier takes a radical approach to sourcing
In search of a sweeter solution for your Valentine's Day chocolate? 18-year-old Zoë S. Taylor shares the story of Atlanta confection shop Sugar-Coated Radical, which according to their website, uses only direct and fair trade-organic-post-consumer recycled and locally sourced materials. Taylor says, "I was attracted to the uniqueness of the shop, the friendly atmosphere, the beauty of the chocolates (when I first saw the chocolates, I immediately imagined all the images I could capture) and most importantly their ethical views." The chocolate industry has come under scrutiny from human rights groups concerned by inhumane conditions in the cacao fields, and the use of child slaves to harvest the pods. In recent years, Croatia has changed from a relative unknown to one of the trendiest destinations in Europe. Chicago 2011 Part 7 - Alinea - Dining Out
Our reservation for Alinea (booked over two months out and acquired by luck) was what dictated the timing of our trip to Chicago in 2011. We were planning on visiting the Windy City a full month earlier, but couldn't get a reservation at this world famous center of avante garde cuisine until June 22nd at 9:15pm. We planned the rest of the trip around this meal with approximately equal days before and after to ensure that we wouldn't feel rushed or overwhelmed with settling in or packing up.

Rapportive, which makes a browser plugin that overlays Gmail with contextual information about email contacts, is being acquired by LinkedIn, sources said. LinkedIn declined to comment, while Rapportive CEO Rahul Vohra ducked our attempts to talk to him. Sources familiar with the negotiations said LinkedIn offered Rapportive “low teens” of millions of dollars worth of cash. The deal has not officially closed yet.
