With a Passion for Skateboarding: Creative Art Sculptures by Haroshi |... Now that’s a sick madness! If you have never heard about Japanese wood sculptor named Haroshi, go get the wind of his most original conceptual art. As a creator of amazingly beautiful wooden sculptures out of old, crashed and broken skateboard decks, Haroshi passed for a man of considerable resourcefulness. His multicolored and meticulously sculpted art pieces simply astound with lifelike affinity, so in whichever way it’s even possible to mistake them for being real! Rainbow Melted Crayon Art Artist and designer Jessica Kerbawy creates these amazing rainbow wall art pieces by gluing a spectrum of crayons on foam core, and then strategically melting them with a heat gun. The paper wrappers are left atop, with the remains of the colored wax dripping down. Though it may look like something you've seen before, I find these to be pretty clever and unique, and an update on the playing with melted wax and rainbow techniques. Jessica's prices are actually incredibly reasonable, between $25 and $75 depending on the size. Check them out at JKCreative's Etsy Shop Interested in more DIY colorful wall art ideas? via CMYBacon

Watercolor Stencil Portrait + TUTORIAL - MORE ART, LESS CRAFT Okay kids, for leaving me all those wonderful and inspiring comments, I give you: Watercolor Stencil Portraiting - The Tutorial! Bear with me, it's almost midnight and I am exhausted, and I leave for vacation tomorrow. And I've never done a tutorial before. Hahaha. Okay. 1. 2. 2a. You should end up with something like this; 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. I didn't do a very good job. 9. 10. 11. 12. Alright, I hope that was helpful to everyone! Also, IF YOU USE THIS TUTE, POST WHAT YOU MAKE! How to make (Valentines) Tentacles I recently needed to make a tentacle for a different project, I was rather pleased with the results and ultimately came up with several different ways to use the basic tentacle that I'd made. So this is a quick instructable demonstrating how to make the basic tentacle unit and then illustrating some of the things that you can do with them. This instructable will also be my entry into the valentines contest. As with most of my project nowadays if you can see it you can buy it, this is due to the fact that I'm currently unemployed and I have a lot of time on my hands, but also because selling little things like this, even with these minimal margins, allows me to save up for workshop improvements. More information and paypal links about the tentacles can be found here ( The Octopus and the other monsters under my laptop can be viewed and purchased here (
