When I bought my equipment I wanted to get a sling bag explaining to the salesperson that I wanted quick access to my camera and didn't want a backpack because it was too awkward to take off/on nor a shoulder bag because it was too difficult to carry. The salesperson suggested the Flipside ... hey, wait! I just said I didn't want a backpack! It's worn like a back pack, but unzips from the inside, against your back. What am I carrying? Using the bag there are three things to be aware of plus one issue: 1) If you have something stored at the bottom of the bag (like I have with the flash) when you swing the bag around to access your gear it can be a little difficult getting it out of the bottom because the bag opening is somewhat blocked at the bottom. 2) With the bag swung around when you completely unzip both zippers the bag feels as though it's going to fall away from you, dumping your gear. But all else couldn't be better. Protection.
