How To Create Great Typographic Wallpaper In Photoshop This tutorial will teach you how to create a really interesting and unique typographic wallpaper in few easy steps. Even a beginner will be able to recreate this effect, and add their own style and thought in it; I am sure you will enjoy and learn a lot from this tutorial! You will learn how to create good looking background, add lightning effects and work with fonts, sizes, colors to make the necessary places stand out! Let’s get started! Step 1 – Creating background First, open a blank document with size 1920×1200 pixels. Set layer opacity to 50%. Step 2 – Lightning Create a new layer and name it Lighting. Draw the gradient as shown below. Set layer to Overlay and opacity to 55%. Step 3 – Adding Brushes Download Adys grunge brushes, create new layer and brush around a little bit. Photoshop 101: How To Create and Use Clipping Masks A clipping mask is a quick way to create masked effects that show and hide parts of images or photos. In this tutorial we will create a clipping mask with text and an image. Step 1: Find an image with some interesting texture. I’m going to go with a grass background. Step 2: Add text to the image Open the image in Photoshop and use the type tool and type some text on top of the image. Step 3: Drag the text below the grass layer Step 4 Create the clipping mask With the grass layer selected go to Layer > Create Clipping Mask. And there we have it! Step 5 Add a drop shadow Add some nice shadow to the text by right clicking on the layer effects icon and adding a drop shadow. Step 6: Add More Grass Next lets duplicate the grass layer and drag it below the text layer.
