Strawberry Lemonade Recipe | The Family Kitchen Nothing says spring or summer like a tall glass of lemonade. It’s refreshing, delicious and so very good on it’s own, simple and uncomplicated. But every once in a while, I like to change it up. Here I have added some fresh strawberries to my favorite lemonade recipe. They not only add a punch of flavor, but also natural sweetness. I was able to halve the amount of sugar I usually use because the strawberries were so sweet. Strawberry Lemonade Recipe Ingredients 6 lemons, juiced 1 pint strawberries 2 cups water 1/2 cup sugar 2 cups water Method 1. 2. Makes 2 quarts.

Brazilian Lemonade This is my most favorite drink. Ever. Maybe I’d feel differently if I drank (as in alcohol), but there is nothing I love more than a warm, breezy afternoon and a pitcher of Brazilian lemonade. I didn’t try it for a long, long time because I was very put off by putting sweetened condensed milk in with citrus fruit. It seemed very wrong. And then I had some at Tucano’s and my life has not been the same since. It starts off with fresh, juicy limes. You pop them in a blender with some sugar water and pulse just a few times. Pour the mixture from the blender through a strainer and into a pitcher, thus saving all of the flavorful liquid. Then the secret ingredient: sweetened condensed milk. Brazilian LemonadeOur Best Bites Ingredients: 4 juicy limes (try and find ones with thin, smooth skins; they’re the juiciest and the thin skin cuts down on the chance of your drink being bitter) 1 c. sugar 6 c. cold water 6 Tbsp. sweetened condensed milk Instructions: Place 1/2 of the limes in your blender.

Recipe: Frozen White Chocolate Hot Chocolate Dessert Treat It is no secret that I love sweets. In fact, when Lent rolls around each year and I see people giving up sweets, I hide… I don’t want those kind of crazy thoughts to invade my brain. I can tell you straight up, me without sweets, would not be a pretty sight. When the folks over at The Motherhood asked me if I would like to be a co-host for a virtual Cooking Connections class surrounding all things sweet, I jumped at the chance. You can join in the virtual chat based class as well, this Wednesday 1pm EST on The Motherhood. Kid Friendly Desserts & Desserts on the GoYour Favorite Desserts, Lightened UpDesserts Worth Indulging & Special Occasion Desserts In the meantime, I am doing my best to diligently research sweet treats prior to the Cooking Connections class. I know there is still a chill in the air, but I am anxiously awaiting spring and summer, which means sweet treats of the frozen variety.
