I would have given it a better score except that DVDshrink (which is also free) can convert quickly to MPEG2 on even ENCRYPTED DVDs and the audio always comes out perfect. Here's how with DVDshrink: 1) Install DVDshrink (download at softpedia.com) 2) Preferences: "output files" tab: UNcheck "Split VOBs" checkbox Preferences: "File I/O" tab: UNcheck "Enable burning with Nero" checkbox 3) Open disk 4) click "Re-Author" button 5) On the right-pane (not left) click Main Movie, then double-click the movie you want to rip 6) On right-pane (again) click "compression settings" tab.
