Virtual Worlds, Avatars, free 3D chat, online meetings - Second Life Official Site SLMaps - Maps of Second Life The Alphaville Herald | Always Fairly Unbalanced New World Notes Friday, March 03, 2006 Continues here. My deepest thanks to everyone at Linden Lab who made my journey to this point possible. And just as much gratitude to the Residents and readers who've made (and make) it a trip worth taking. Posted at 12:57 AM | Permalink | TrackBack (20) Tuesday, February 28, 2006 So it suits to suspend my tenure as Hamlet Linden while standing on the cliffs of Shipley, because this is where, more or less, it all began some 30 months ago. So I got some land and eventually had an office built for me, on the cliff right above her estate. Since then, Shipley's seashore, which used to stretch out into endless horizon, has become a tributary, as a Southern isthmus of the continent grew in a circular direction to replace the sea. So this is where I'll leave Hamlet Linden for an indefinite time. Meantime, be sure to take the new survey that'll help determine NWN's future. The Fourth Rail: Iraq Operations Update Independent Iraqi operation in the Haditha Triad, U.S. operation in Ramadi and an update on Swarmer & north-central Iraq The fight against the insurgency is increasingly focused in the provinces of Saladhadin, Baghdad and the eastern portion of Anbar province. Some of the recent operations have been executed by Iraqi troops alone, some by joint U.S. and Iraqi troops, and some by U.S. troops alone. In Anbar province, two recent counterinsurgency operations were conducted in the Haditha Triad region and Ramadi. As part of Operation Raging Bull, the Iraqi Army's 2nd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 7th Division "conducted a day-long, fully independent counterinsurgency operation in the towns of Albu Hayatt and Khaffajiah to disrupt insurgent activity and to search for weapons caches." In Ramadi, the U.S. The bulk of the heavy lifting is being done in Baghdad and north-central Iraq. North of Samarra, Operation Swarmer continues for its fifth day.

Painting on the SL Avatar - modo Tutorial - © Robin Wood 2010 <p class="noScript">I notice you have Javascript turned off. Unless you did that to print, the page is more fun if you turn it on. Thanks! </p> I use Luxology's modo for the 3D work that I need in Second Life®, and have recommended this workflow to others as well. One of the many things you can do in modo is paint directly on a model. In this video, I show how to overcome those limitations by remapping the Avatar, and then how to start painting on it. The problem is that the maps are superimposed on each other, since they are all named "Texture." You'll need to have one map with all the UVs on it, for easy painting, and another 3 maps with to burn the textures back to the Linden map for uploading to SL. Fortunately, it's easy to make them. Then, select the polygons that are in each material, Copy the associated UVs, and Paste each of them into a new map, as well. When you're done, you'll have the original Texture map (might as well keep it, just in case) and 4 new maps.
