Wooden Nose Eyeglass Holder

Wooden Nose Eyeglass Holder
About Face A group of craftsmen in India is trying to help you find your glasses. This hand-carved wooden statuette is perfect for holding your glasses when you're not using them. No more searching around blindly, or trying to remember where you last put them down. And this friendly face also has a story to tell: it was created by HSSS, a non-profit in India that helps underprivileged artisans, who suffer hardships with physical handicaps, illiteracy, extreme poverty, or being in lower castes, find markets for their wood products. Handmade of sustainable sheesham wood, native to the Indian subcontinent, bought under supervision and quota from the government of India (which sells the wood of dead trees). Eyeglasses not included. Visit the blog to learn more about how these handcrafted pieces are made. Related:  Cool Stuf to Buy

Cicret Bracelet Turns Your Skin into Touch Screen Android Interface Wrist wearables may focus on fitness and notifications, but one bracelet called Cicret aims to create a smartphone screen on the user’s hairy forearm. Soon, users could be reading their emails on their skin. (Photo : Cicret) While leaders in smartphone technologies Apple and Samsung are touting ion-strengthened glass screens and 4K displays on their devices, a group of four visionaries believe the next revolution is about to happen on the user's own skin. A four-man team from France has come up with the idea for a bracelet that can be used to turn the wearer's arm into a smartphone screen. "With the Cicret Bracelet, you can make your skin your new touchscreen," says the Cicret team on its website. A promotional video made for Cicret, which has amassed nearly 4 million views on YouTube, shows the bracelet, if it ever becomes a real product, in action. The team at Cicret is currently raising funds to make their vision a reality. © 2015 Tech Times, All rights reserved.

12 Gauge Shot Glass: Kitchen & Dining This Simple Bracelet Can Turn Your Arm Into an Interactive Smartphone Display Smartphone addicts will want to pay close attention to this. Say, for example, you're taking a shower or relaxing in a hot bath. Your smartphone is nowhere near your wet, soapy hands. Just then an important email comes in. The inventors of something called Cicret (pronounced “secret”) want to change that. Related: A Watch That Shoots Lasers? And it’s apparently water-proof, too. Sound too good to be true? See? Related: Want a New Smartwatch? Basically, Cicret lets you do everything you do on your phone on your forearm, palm up or palm down, depending on which way you wear it. How it works isn’t, well, much of a Cicret, er, secret. Also in the promo clip, the bracelet appears to be activated in a quick flick of the wrist. Related: Gold? The one thing you can’t do unfortunately is get one right now. Cicret’s Paris-based developers say they still need to raise about $1.2 million dollars to make the project a reality. Not your shirt. Not your pants. I’m talking about your skin. The Apple Watch ain’t got nothing on Cicret — a concept wristband that will project the content of your phone directly onto your forearm. Want to send emails while in the shower? According to Gizmag, the wristband will have proximity sensors to detect where your fingers are, so they can interact with the interface just like any other touchscreen device. The wristband will also be able to activate speakerphone so you don’t even have pick your phone up to answer calls. The French company behind Cicret believes they can create and release this product within a year and a half. It’s a smartphone sans the phone. RYOT NOTE from Anna For all the bad things people have to say about technology impacting our lives, there’s no denying it’s also being employed to connect people in ways we never thought possible.

Action Cahier (2-Pack) on Creatives Outfitter For too long, Creatives have suffered from inefficiency, disorganization, and careers at the mercy of bureaucracy. Behance aims to organize, connect, and empower creative careers, so the best ideas can see the light of day. Behance’s “Action” and “Dot Grid” product lines have become indispensable utilities for Creatives at work. Back in 2006, when the Behance team was just imagining ways to organize and empower creative people, they knew that they needed to start with themselves. So the very first thing they designed was the Action Pad. Long before the launch of the Behance’s network and 99U, Behance began with paper and a mission to empower the creative world. As Scott Belsky and Matias Corea from Behance tell the story, "Brainstorming from our apartments during the hours outside our day jobs, we used our personal Action Pads to capture and complete countless action steps that ultimately pushed Behance from vision to reality.
