Pesquisando, encontrei no Wikipedia, o termo Adobe e uma rápida explicação:" Adobe - essa técnica consiste em moldar o tijolo cru em formas de madeira, onde o bloco de terra é seco ao sol, sem que haja a queima do mesmo. A mistura a ser moldada pode ser feita apenas com água e terra ou com o acréscimo de estabilizante e fibras naturais. Amassando com os pés, forma-se uma mistura plástica. Os tijolos de adobe são usados em paredes, abóbadas, cúpulas, entre outras." A preparação para o curso de bioconstrução me apresentou o desafio de fabricar tijolos de adobe. Muito havia ouvido falar mas nunca tinha estado, conscientemente, perto de um tijolo de adobe e muito menos fazia idéia de como seria fabricá-los. Ficou muito bom.

Thanks to advances in brain research, we now have proof that “the brain devotes more attention to anything that appears threatening,” says psychologist James Breckenridge. Our automatic vigilance for threat has given us an enormous survival advantage throughout the ages, he explains, and we now do it continuously, subconsciously, and at lightning speed. “People can determine emotions on a person’s face even if they only see a part of it, like a part of an eyebrow,” says Breckenridge. Wilson Solar Grill Stores the Sun's Energy For Nighttime Grilling Many of us will be firing up our grills this weekend for some well-deserved barbecue time. After all, barbecuing is one of America’s greatest pastimes, but it certainly isn’t one of our most environmentally friendly. Whether you prefer charcoal, wood chips or propane, grilling releases emissions and contributes to poor air quality. Up until now, solar powered grilling has required, as you might expect, the sun, which means traditional fuel-fired grills are required after sunset. But new solar technology developed by MIT professor David Wilson could bring a nighttime solar-powered grill to the market very soon; an invention also of great benefit to those in developing nations who rely on wood to cook all their food. Wilson’s technology harnesses the sun and stores latent heat to allow cooking times for up to an amazing twenty five hours at temperatures above 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
