Felt Flowers
I fell in love with these felt flowers I saw on Pinterest so I made some of my own. Here is how... They were so easy...now what to do with them?

Painted Rhinestone Earrings The painted rhinestone jewelry by Tom Binns have caused quite the stir - I'm sure you've seen the painted rhinestone necklaces on other DIY fashion blogs. When I saw his jewelry on Net-A-Porter, I knew I that my leftover rhinestone trim from M&J trimming would be perfect for some earring versions! Jenni at I Spy DIY also did a mini roundup on some of these awesome necklaces. Supplies: how to make a t-shirt flower Yesterday I showed you how to make this ombré infinity scarf and as promised here is the tutorial to make the matching t-shirt flower embellishment! your going to need: t-shirt to cut up a felt circle button for the center fabric glue scissors a flower template - I made this simple one by hand with some card stock 1. Cut eight flowers using the template out of the t-shirt 2.

Rollie Pollie! Looking for hours of entertainment? Meet, The Rollie Pollie bean bag chair. It’s a chair, it’s a toy, it’s your favorite pillow. Made of durable cotton twill or soft vinyl, each bag is actually a slip cover (with another Rollie Pollie inside) then filled with mounds and mounds of soft cluster stuffing. So if it gets dirty, just zip it off and throw it in the wash. how to transfer a photo to fabric Did you know you can transfer photos to fabric without using iron-on sheets? I love this technique. It's simple to execute and the end results are really pretty. Spike Ring By now, I think it's pretty obvious I have a soft spot for statement jewelry. This ring creates the illusion of a spike going through your finger, although the ring is SO lightweight you probably won't even feel it. EDIT: Everyone keeps asking where I got the spikes. They're NOT spikes! Technically, at least. They're cone bead caps, as I indicated below.

Make Fabric Flowers Ugh! Who wouldn’t get addicted to these flowers? Like I said… I just love to make fabric flowers because you can do so much with them: hair clip, bag accessory, brooch, headband, shoe accessory, pillow embellishment. Make a self-zipping coin purse from a ribbon Look what came in the mail today from my mom. That's some 7/8" ribbon I designed. Attached to a zipper. And lined with fabric on the back.

DIY Hand Stitching, part 2 Last week, I started a DIY Hand Stitching series and began with how to hand stitch your own handwriting. I stitched onto paper and showed a method for transferring the pattern by poking or drawing dots as a guide on the surface. The same technique can be used when stitching a simple pattern onto fabric but when you stitch more than one color or there's a lot of intersecting lines (like these), it's much easier to use a piece of tear away backing. Snake Wrap Bracelet This DIY starts off pretty crazy - but I promise the finished piece is way cooler! You might even have all of the supplies already...except the rubber snake. If you're into accessories of any kind, I'm sure you've noticed the snake trend going on in rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc. It's been around for a while, so I kind of wish I thought of this earlier - but it wouldn't hurt to make it anyway. This bracelet was inspired by the pieces below...
