Pouring Light Lamp by Yeongwoo Kim Pour Me Some Light Human actions play such a significant role in design; it’s either evident in the form or in the function. In the Pouring Light, the action is evident in the form and is delightfully executed as well! With the motive of giving off “an emotional flow of light”, the lights linger on with a mesmerizing effect thanks to the use of phosphorescence in the “water” part. Yeongwoo suggests the use of LED lights to conserve energy, and my suggestion to him: get this in the market ASAP! Designer: Yeongwoo Kim

It was a brick wall deformed like it was made of cloth. So in this tutorial, or a quick-tips I will show you how to create a curtain made of bricks or how to deform a brick wall as it was a curtain. Step 1 Open Photoshop and create a new document. Step 2 Let's import another image, now of a girl opening the curtains. Step 3 With the Lasso Tool (L) or the Pen Tool (P) select the empty white. TrustoCorp – Satirical Upstart Art TrustoCorp. It sounds as if it might be a global organisation bent on domination from a film such as RoboCop or Blade Runner and perhaps they may just as well be. Although the truth is somewhat different very little is known about this mysterious artist (or perhaps collective). There are some for sure who know who TrustoCorp is (or are) they are keeping their lips tight shut. That aside, there is some information we can impart about the mysterious TrustoCorp. Quite what they want is also something of a mystery – however it is perfectly likely that they may not want anything more than to brighten up people’s day albeit in a somewhat mischievous manner. Although the satire is there – and it is sharp – it is directed at humanity in general and not at specific individuals, although you might occasionally recognize yourself as a target in their work. Yet, the fact that TrustoCorp’s arrow is aimed at the broadest of targets – all of us – it still hits its target with surpreme accuracy.

It doesn’t take much, since I only set the blur effect to 15px to get the result shown above. A great feature for all three new blur filters is the handy dial in the center, which allows you to adjust the position of the blur on two of the filters, and increase the amount with the dial manually.

Advanced Day-to-Night Photoshop Tutorial In this tutorial I will teach you how to edit in photo in Lightroom and Photoshop to dramatically alter its appearance and mood. We’ll change a broad daylight scene into a night-time one, lit by a street lamp. I’ll also take the opportunity to describe some non-destructive editing techniques in Photoshop. Below you can see the ‘before’ and ‘after’: Day to night conversion: before and after The original, straight from the camera image is mind-numbingly dull; it’s the very definition of dullness. The overcast day had the advantage of decreased contrast and a complete lack of shadows, allowing me a wide range of editing. Creating the light/dark versions First thing, I created two Virtual Copies in Lightroom: Same image with different WB settings As you can see above, the altered versions are already better — especially the “night” one, dark and moody. Mixing light and dark Having exported the two versions as 16bit TIFF (for maximum quality), I opened both of them in Photoshop. Adding the glow
