Breaking Bad Production[edit] Conception[edit] Breaking Bad was created by Vince Gilligan, who spent several years writing the Fox series The X-Files. Gilligan wanted to create a series in which the protagonist became the antagonist. "Television is historically good at keeping its characters in a self-imposed stasis so that shows can go on for years or even decades," he said. Watch this: 'Breaking Bad' re-imagined as a '90s-era feel-good sitcom Clever video mashup artists putting beloved TV characters in oddball situations is nothing new — take this re-imagining of Seinfeld as a dramatic movie trailer — but these new takes on Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead take the concept to the extreme. Breaking Bad, know for being one of the darkest and grittiest shows on TV over the last few years, gets re-cut into the opening credits of a '90s-era sitcom, complete with big smiles, shared heartfelt moments, and an incredibly cheesy (but yet appropriate) soundtrack from Foreigner. It's all the best parts of the opening credits from classics like Friends, Full House, Home Improvement, or Growing Pains, but instead of Ross and Rachel you have the wacky pairing of Walt and Jesse.

Watch Lost From J.J. Abrams, the creator of Alias, comes the action-packed adventure that became a worldwide television event. Bryan Cranston to write memoir about 'Breaking Bad' We've seen him in his tighty-whities on more than one occasion, but now actor Bryan Cranston is doing the most revealing thing of all -- he's writing a memoir. The acclaimed stage, film and TV actor, best known as meth-cooking, cancer-suffering morally enigmatic dad Walter White on AMC's Breaking Bad, has signed a deal with publisher Scribner. "Walter White taught me a lot -- some of it useful, some of it dangerous," Cranston, 58, says in a statement from his publisher. He plans "to tell the stories of my life and reveal the secrets and lies that I lived with for six years shooting Breaking Bad."
