The Dark Knight Rises

TheBatmanbitchz : Facial hair done right! #Batman... Parallel Universe on MSN: Across the Universe Ghosts of Gotham The lost 'Batman' films As this is written, we are five months away from the release of "The Dark Knight Rises," the third and final film in the trilogy of movies directed and co-written by Christopher Nolan about the iconic comic book hero Batman. Nolan's two previous films about the Caped Crusader, 2005's "Batman Begins" and 2008's "The Dark Knight," are largely considered the finest adaptations of the Batman mythos to the big screen, following four movies between 1989 and 1997 than ranged from pretty good to downright horrid (before those, there were two serials in 1943 and 1949 -- Batman's first official big-screen appearances -- and the 1966 movie that served as a commercial for and extended episode of the campy TV series of the time). 6 Insane Batman Villains You Won't See in the Movies Batman has the greatest set of villains of any superhero, but not every character can be a Joker or a Two-Face. Or even a Penguin. It turns out that the only thing one needs to qualify as a member of Batman's rogue gallery is being insane and knowing how to sew a costume. We all know that sooner or later, the Batman movies are going to run out of interesting villains to feature and will be forced to start scraping closer to the bottom of the barrel. #6. Batman #69 (1952)His entire body is made of breasts. The King of Cats is possibly the creepiest Batman villain ever created, and not just because he looks like a date rapist stalking a furry convention. Oh, and he has a thing for his sister. Batman #69 (1952)Of the 20 things wrong with this picture, the most pressing is why that panther has the torso of a man. In his one and only stellar appearance, the King of Cats is trying to get his then-reformed sister to go back to her villainous ways so that they can become partners in crime. #5.

Are these 2 Viral Videos for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES? There's a possibility that these are two viral videos that have been released in a way to help promote Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. The video were uploaded onto YouTube by The Fire Rises which was the name of the Twitter account that revealed the first awesome image of Bane a couple of weeks ago. So are the two connected? The first video takes us inside a prison, which is supposed to be Arkham Asylum. The second video is brief news clip reporting that there's been a breakout at Arkham Asylum. What do you think of these possible viral vidoes?

Christian Bale’s comment opens the door for another ‘Batman’ movie | Movie Talk Photo by Warner Bros. Pictures Christian Bale may not be ready to hang up his Batman suit, after all. Time and again, the star of the Christopher Nolan-directed "Dark Knight" movies has said that the third installment of the Batman trilogy will be his last. Fans have been having a hard time saying goodbye. "The Dark Knight Rises," out this summer, is said to be the last of the Bale-Nolan dynamic duo. But maybe the Batman era will live on. In an interview with Empire magazine, the actor leaves an opening, however small, that another movie could be in his future. But in the same interview it doesn't sound like Nolan is exactly on board. But what if the guy's story is re-invented -- in, say, a Justice League movie? And hope springs eternal -- searches on Yahoo! Joss Whedon, who directed "The Avengers," was recently asked how to make a Justice League picture work —- something that has been discussed for years. Let's hope someone at Warner Bros. has the batphone on speed-dial.

uld Viral Marketing Poison The Dark Knight Rises? The Dark Knight Rises, one of the most highly anticipated movies (at this point) of all time is released next year. Director Christopher Nolan is, by his very nature, a very secretive filmmaker. He likes to reveal as little as possible about his projects, which leaves his fans desperate for the barest snippets of information. So when the first piece of major viral marketing for the movie was released, the Internet went into meltdown. Now, I have no idea how long the team behind this idea were expecting it to take for someone to solve, but it was mere minutes. Clever stuff, and no doubt only the first salvo in a viral marketing war to be raged upon the internet community. Think about it. So excitement has been building for a long time. the problem is, once all these details have been confirmed, the long shooting period begins, and with a secretive Director like Nolan, there is very little information to come from the process. There is a danger, in these circumstances, of escalation.

Joss Whedon on his failed Batman movie pitch, and a return to Firefly As The Cabin In The Woods premiered at the South By Southwest Festival in Texas, Joss Whedon took part in a panel discussion about the film, and several other projects, too. Amongst the highlights? Well, prior to Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins movie coming together, Whedon went to Warner Bros to pitch a Batman movie of his own. “My heart was on the table”, he said. That particular day seemed to get worse, though, as Whedon went on to say “I got back to work and they cancelled Firefly. Whedon, as you might have guessed, didn't get very far with his Batman project. Talking of Firefly, though, in the same panel discussion, Whedon’s heart clearly hasn’t closed the door back to that world. As to the small matter of his next film, Marvel’s The Avengers, Whedon told us that Marvel had been as “unmeddlesome” as any studio he’d ever worked with. The Cabin In The Woods is released next month. LeakyNews
