2011 Comic-Con Cosplay Winner: Lady Two-Face
Out of all the cosplay costumes at this year's San Deigo Comic-Con, this one easily takes the cake. The makeup on Lady Two-Face is flawless and the transformation between both sides of her face is shockingly awesome. Edit: Thanks to Reddit user sweetloris, we found out who Lady Two-Face really is! Her name is Meagan Marie and according to her website, she works at Crystal Dynamics by day, reads comics at night, and runs around in costumes on the weekend. Sounds like the perfect woman... Best Foreign Language Films
As part of our epic, two week long Decade in Review, master of the Foreign Objects Rob Hunter lays down his picks of the best foreign language films of the decade. I can reel off the best foreign films of the year without pause and feel fairly confident that I haven’t missed anything notable, but best of the decade? Adding to the difficulty is the fact that of the thousands of films released each year in other countries very few of them actually ever reach our shores in any official capacity. Then there’s the issue of release dates… do I use the year the film was first released or the year it finally reached the US? There’s way too much gray area here, so we’re going to simplify things a bit. This is my list of the best foreign language films of the past ten years, and I highlight that ownership because I don’t expect it to look too similar to lists put out by most other critics. 3-Iron(Kim Ki-duk, South Korea 2004) Amelie(Jean-Pierre Jeunet, France 2001) Damn I love this movie.

The Miraculous Pear Tree Directed by Jeroen Zijlstra The Miraculous Pear Tree is a stop-motion animation, shot entirely in high-definition. It tells the fairytale of a Tibetan monk who encounters a less than dignified salesman. After finding out about the salesman and his intentions, he teaches him a lesson. Artistic statement : The Miraculous Pear Tree is a product of some the interests of Jeroen Zijlstra: Sjamanistic Buddhism and fairytales. Workprocess From concept to final product it took six months to realize this animation. The building proces took four months and the shooting/postproduction about two. Year in Review: The Best Foreign Films of 2010 | Film School Rejects
Welcome to my list of the best foreign films of the year! In case you’re wondering why certain films appear to be missing there are a few factors to take into account. First, films like Mother, A Prophet, The Good the Bad the Weird, and The Secret In Their Eyes are movies that made previous lists. Second, I haven’t seen everything that was released this year. I kid. But seriously, these are my picks for the ten best foreign language movies of the year in alphabetical order. About Elly (Iran) A group of friends take a weekend trip, but when one of them goes missing the truth about who she was gets lost in a haze of suspicion, judgment, and fear. Bedevilled (South Korea) An ugly incident in the city sends a woman home to the rural island where she grew up, but she discovers life there has become a living hell for her childhood friend. Enter the Void (France) A young American in Japan dies, but his spirit continues on as he once made a promise to never leave his sister again.
