I have a Mastercard that does that same thing. As a bonus, since it's NOT AMEX, everywhere accepts it, and it's not a ripoff for both the consumer and the retailer. tl;dr Get a real credit card. EVERY major retailer takes AMEX, and MasterCard is getting hammered for all the hidden "extra charges" they stick retailers. As a retailer myself, I make a point of not taking AMEX because they take a whopping 7-8% right off the top of every single sale I make. And, no offense, but any good card company is going to have excellent service - they want to keep you their customer so they can keep making money off of you. On top of all that, the GM points card (not the same as above, but it still has most of that stuff, too) gets $4000 chopped right off the top of any new car purchase from them. I'll give you the points, er, point. Plus, Amex will NEVER cancel you for carrying zero-balance, but your bank card WILL.
