Historia del cuento. Por MARIA VICTORIA RASERO LINDE. Los orígenes del cuento se remontan posiblemente al Antiguo Egipto. El primer relato del que se tiene conocimiento corresponde al que cuenta la historia de dos hermanos, Anup y Bata, encontrado en un papiro de hace unos 3.250 años y que, según un estudio efectuado por Kurt Ranke, ha sufrido más de 700 versiones distintas. El cuento en cuestión tiene cierta similitud con la historia narrado en el Génesis sobre Adán y Eva : los dos hermanos se querían y ayudaban hasta que la esposa de Anup, la serpiente, vino a tentar a Bata, tratando de seducirlo. También la mitología griega es sin duda la gran aportadora de personajes y creadora de leyendas que, evolucionadas a través de los siglos y bajo la influencia de las distintas culturas y tradiciones, son indiscutible origen de muchos de los cuentos que hoy conocemos. Es el cuento una narración generalmente breve, de un hecho o hechos reales, legendarios o fantásticos, cuya finalidad consiste, además de entretener y divertir, moralizar.

Three Trees Studios Well, after a massively long delay, our Rook City webcomic will once again be updating regularly at least for the next month or so as we finish off the “Convention Blues” storyline. 21 new pages will eventually be posted, making this by far the longest Rook City tale as of yet. The pages are all done (and even sent off to the printer) and will be posted one per weekday until the story concludes (except today when you get two pages and the cover).
