AdFreak: Apple Get a Mac: The Complete Campaign
Steve Jobs could sell. He did it in person, he did it on stage, and he did it on television—in the form of advertising campaigns that were often the envy of the business. Among the most beloved was the long-running "Get a Mac" series with John Hodgman and Justin Long as the bumbling PC and the hip, unflappable Mac—an odd couple who would entertain viewers for years with their quips, barbs, sight gags, and one-liners. In 2010, Adweek declared "Get a Mac" to be the best advertising campaign of the first decade of the new century. Below are all 66 TV spots (plus the long version of 2008's "Sad Song") that aired during the campaign's run, from May 2006 to October 2009. All 66 ads were directed by Phil Morrison of Epoch Films for TBWA Media Arts Lab.

Creative Advertising for Creative People - Hooked On Ads - Part 9 It looks like this channel just never stops. Here’s another very creative campaign from 13th Street. For those who doesn’t know yet, 13th Street is a television channel which runs in Germany and France and specializes in action and suspense shows and movies. The one with the phone is the best one, while the last one is least convincing, but not too bad also. Simplicity and a clear message – thumbs up for the advertising agency. Basic facts (Gay money: The truth about lesbian & gay economics ¶ Joe Clark) Basic facts I spent six months in 2010 reading and summarizing every article on lesbian and gay economics published since the 1990s. I took on this project to counter a myth. “Myth” in this case means “falsehood” or “lie,” not just “tale” or “story.” Myth: Gays are rich The myth of gay money holds that “gays” (really just gay males) are high-income or rich. This myth was relentlessly propagated through the 1990s and persists today. Reality: Gay males earn less and lesbians earn more than straight people Most of the dozens of studies of income and earnings of gay men and lesbians show consistent results. Weak statement: Neither gay males nor lesbians earn more than straight people. Either way, most of the data shows that gay males do not earn more than straight people. Why? Why do gay males have generally lower incomes than straight males? Gay males have more education than straight males, but they do not choose male-dominated professions as often as straight males do. Exceptions Yes.

Manager une communauté History of the Apple Tablet [IMAGE] Apparently, the Apple Tablet doesn't need to actually exist to have a history. Well, that's not entirely true. We all know it exists, but it hasn't officially been announced yet by the company that is supposed to be selling it. [Image courtesy of Lalawag] The Evolution of Apple Ads Apple first started advertising its products in the late 1970s. The 80s showed a wide variety of ads, some of which served to convince consumers that they should purchase a computer, and specifically an Apple. These ads were text-heavy and light on images, as were many computer and technology ads from that era. Apple ads really came into their heyday during the 1990s, with the “Think Different” campaign, which became very popular as they featured a number of famous people. Here’s a stunning compilation of some of Apple’s most notable advertisements from the 70s until the present day, including a few videos ads. With the launch of the iMac in the late 90s, Apple ads became much more artistic and, for the most part, focused much more on showcasing the product and used very little text compared with earlier ads. It’s also worth noting how the ads changed as the hardware changed. Most recently, Apple has focused on television advertising, most notably with its Mac vs. 1970s 1980s 1990s 2000-Present
