This is Fairy Tale Land. It's filled with magic, monsters and all of the characters we all know from stories growing up. It's real, and so are the people in it. But unlike the "happily ever after" you may have heard about, their stories continued, and The Evil Queen cast a Dark Curse over the land.... This is Storybrooke. It's a quiet, little, New England town filled with people who go about their everyday lives with no idea who they really are. Once Upon A Time is, at its core, a story about hope. "For us, that’s what a fairy tale is. About Season 1: Emma Swan’s life has been anything but a fairytale. Of course the seen-it-all Emma doesn’t believe a word, but when she gets to Storybrooke, she can’t help sensing that everything’s not quite what it seems. Storybrooke is a place where magic has been forgotten—but is still powerfully close—and happily ever after seems just out of reach. The Wicked Witch, aka Zelena, forced Rumplestiltskin to help her carry out her evil plan.

Pith in the Wind Metro School's board members voted unanimously Tuesday night in favor of a $779 million spending plan to run its school system next school year. "I think the priorities speak for themselves," said Director of Schools Jesse Register who pointed to teacher pay raises and a new set of pre-K centers as highlights to the district's $32.5 million in new funding he and the school board are asking from Metro officials this year. Mayor Karl Dean warned last December he would look closely at the district's budget, saying "no department gets a blank check and that includes schools." The district's next step is to pitch this spending plan to mayor's office who will then decide how much of it he will offer to fund. That meeting is Apr. 16.

The Most Erotic "Sherlock" Fan Art [NSFW] My new, critter proof, raised garden beds So, after pulling an all nighter to finish all the cuts, staining, "cheats", etc I prepare for my friend to arrive and help me carry the lumber to the build site. We'll need to insure the structure is level and square, and I was hoping everything would go together easily. Help arrives, and we tote all the lumber to the site. Some of the boards are 14 feet long, so I'm glad for the help! Our first build site didn't work out so well. The Blacklist (TV series) The show has been met with critical acclaim,[5][6] with many critics singling out Spader's performance.[7] Raymond "Red" Reddington, a former government agent and one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, surrenders at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.. He claims the FBI and he have similar interests in getting rid of dangerous criminals and terrorists. While the raw figures for visitors vary from one metrics firm to the next (Nielsen’s unique visitors numbers are often much smaller than those of the ratings agency comScore, for example, and both rely mainly on home-based traffic rather than work-based, which may undercount total news consumption) the list and rank of top sites remains relatively consistent across measuring companies. In that mix, based on Nielsen’s data, legacy news organizations (those attached to a news operation that is in another platform such as television or print) account for about two-thirds of the top 25 sites (17 in all). Online-only ventures, split between pure aggregators and those that produce some original content and engage also in aggregation, account for the remaining third (eight sites in all).

Beginning Tuesday at 6 a.m. Pacific time, U.S. adults can purchase the Explorer version of Google's head-mounted, Internet-connected computer for $1,500 plus tax on the company's website. "Our Explorers are moms, bakers, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too," the company said in a Google+ post on Thursday.

DRAFT - Opinionator John Wells and I have been together a very long time. If you haven’t heard of Wells, he’s a C.I.A. operative who plays the starring role in a series of espionage thrillers that I started writing a decade ago. Random House published the first, “The Faithful Spy,” in 2006. I planned to kill Wells off at its end, a la John le Carre’s Alec Leamas.
