A Beautiful Mess: DIY Have you ever just had a project idea in your head that didn't exactly fit your style but you fell in love with it anyway? Yeah. That happened to me recently. I don't usually make projects with tons of colors. After a few months of thinking it over, I decided to take the plunge and just go for something colorful. This clock is not really a color wheel, even though it kind of looks like one at first. Anyway, here's how I made my clock. Supplies:-clock kit (can be found at most craft stores)-wooden round (a circle or oval)-12 wooden spoons-primer, optional if your wood piece is darker-craft paint (in 12 colors)-painter's tape-paint brushes-Krazy Glue Tools:-power drill-5/16 drill bit (or whatever size fits your clock kit)-ruler Aproximate Cost: $28 (does not include cost of tools) Step One: You'll note that I originally started the project with an oval wood piece but later switched to a circle. Step Two: Paint the wooden spoons. Step Three: Prime the main wood piece. Ta-da!

Knights Templar rotten > Library > Conspiracy > Knights Templar According to legend, the Knights Templar was founded in 1118 to protect tourists headed for Jerusalem. There the small band of warrior monks established a headquarters. Even though the Templars swore allegiance to the Pope, their beliefs were not exactly orthodox. But when they weren't busy doing that, they managed to amass a financial empire with vast holdings. By the dawn of the 14th century, the Knights Templar had become Europe's dominant religious order. In France, King Philip IV owed the Templars a lot of money, which he didn't really feel like repaying. Some of the Templars escaped to Portugal, where (for a few years) they enjoyed the protection of its king. The Pope forcibly disbanded their organization in March 1312, announced in a Papal Bull accusing the Templars of having fallen "into the sin of impious apostasy, the abominable vice of idolatry, the deadly crime of the Sodomites, and various heresies."

DIY Project - CD Wallet Scrapbook I’ve always thought that the sign of a healthy relationship is a couple that’s stronger when they’re together than they are individually. There’s something about being with Mr. Eggplant that brings out the best in me and challenges me to grow. I like to think that the theme of our relationship can be wrapped up in two words (and coincidentally one song by Jack Johnson): Better together. Mr. Eggplant and I want to carry out the “better together” theme throughout our wedding, and to honor our this, I plan to display at our reception a scrapbook that I made Mr. I thought I’d share the project with you all since it’s quick and easy and would make a great bridesmaid gift or present for your S.O. 2. 3. 4. 5. DIY Transparent Clutch Phil Oh spotted this elegant Charlotte Olympia Pandora clutch during Paris Fashion Week and we spotted a DIY. Prada, Chanel & Fendi seem to be seeing clearly too because let’s face it, nothing says “I ain’t got shit to hide” like a transparent clutch. You’ll start by drilling a hole at the top of the plastic box. Use a drill bit that is one size larger than the diameter of the bolt on the knob, otherwise the plastic might crack. Open the lid and slowly drill a hole in the center of the box with very light pressure. Push the knob through the hole of the box and replace the washer and nut. Voila! Faux Fur Peter Pan Collar Tutorial (with free pattern!) Inspired by vintage accessories, we came up with this cute Peter Pan collar. The pom poms are a favorite around here and add a fun touch. Not only is this a cute project, but it comes together quickly. You can easily use leftover fabric from the faux fur coat collar, as we did. In that tutorial, we drafted a custom collar to match a coat. In this one, we’re giving you a free pattern, making it a much faster project. Because this collar is tied on over a blouse, sweater, or jacket, it’s quite adjustable and would make an adorable gift. Download the pattern here or click the link at the bottom of this post. Items Needed: 1/4 yard faux fur1/4 yard lining2 20” lengths of velvet rope, ribbon, braid, piping, cord, etc.needlethreadtailor’s chalk or fabric marker Cut circles. 1. Sew gathering stitches. 2. Out Of Body Experience Guaranteed – Alarm Clock Technique | Astral Projection It is impossible not to be curious out having an out of body experience. Not just because it is something bound in mystery and excitement – the idea of being liberated from the limiting confines of our bodies is indeed very appealing – but because it is something which makes up a certain essence of our culture. Mankind has always dreamt about releasing himself, whether through controlled flight or artificial weightlessness, or through redemption and religious experiences. Having an out of body experience is something, which we cannot help but crave, and something that, in many ways, is very easy to imagine. We all encounter something not dissimilar to an out of body experience each night when we dream, and within our dreams, we are free from any of the limitations we face in waking life. Often, many of us encounter out of body experiences without understanding how or why it took place. Interested to learn step-by-step techniques of astral projection? The 7 Greatest (True) Johnny Depp Stories Ever Told Somehow Johnny Depp always seems to commits the weirdest crimes. Even when the guy is doing something "wrong", he does it with style. He's never been arrested for doing anything outside of the realm of what you'd expect from him, even with all his money. In 1994, Depp was staying at a fancy New York hotel and completely wrecked his room. When police arrived at the scene, there was a smashed glass coffee-table and other destroyed, mangled furniture in the $1200-a-night suite. The alleged creature was never found. Johnny Depp's cavalier attitude about his brushes with the law and incarceration make him even more awesome. The other crime Depp was caught committing is just as unexpected, and pretty damn awesome (not including that paparazzi brawl he had, because really, who could stand those people). The billboard featured Depp holding a gun with the slogan, "Other Kids Pack Lunch," underneath it. Source

Make your own a painted bangle bracelet! I made this super cute and simple accessory project this afternoon! You'll need at least one blank wood bangle bracelet, some acrylic paint and a paint brush. Step 1: Use a light color to prime a 'background' area on your bangle. I used two coats. Acrylic paint dries extremely fast (usually within about 10 minutes). Step 2: Paint XOs (or any cute design) in varied paint colors all the way around your bracelet. Step 3: Let dry and seal with an acrylic paint sealer if desired. Wear it or give it as a gift! XO!
