Fractions Is it just me or does it seem like this week is NEVER going to end?! I feel like the Valentine's Party was last week, but OH NO, that was only 2 days ago! Needless to say, I am more than ready for this weekend! But before I veg out all weekend, I wanted to post a few pictures of what we've been up to in class. We made fraction sundaes that you can find on TPT HERE! Tomorrow we will make fraction pizzas that you can find on TPT HERE! We are only going to go to 1/6 on our fraction book, but in the template I made, you can go all the way to 1/16! I have also included templates where the fractions are already typed, and the students just put their books together! Happy Almost Friday!

Interactive Fraction Wall | online fraction | percentage | decimal | visnos Fraction walls are a great way to teach about fractions and in particular equivalent fractions. In a fraction wall each row or layer of the wall represents one whole number. The layers are divided into a number of bricks and hence each brick represents a fraction whose denominator is equal to the number of bricks in that layer. Each brick can be turned on or off by clicking it. This wall also allows the display of decimal and percentage values. To the right of the wall are boxes which can be hidden, the value of each box is fraction of the wall that has been turned on. Selecting different walls When you launch this interactive teaching program the initial wall is a mixed one showing 3 distinct fraction families.
