EEG feature extraction for classifying emotions using FCM and FKM
The Electroencephalogram (EEG) is one of the useful biosignals detect the human emotions. This paper discusses on a research conducted to determine the changes in the electrical activity of the human brain related to distinct emotions. We designed a competent acquisition protocol for acquiring the EEG signals under audio-visual induction environment. The EEG data has been collected from 6 healthy subjects with in an age group of 21-27 using 63 biosensors.

German researchers looked at women with breast cancer before, during and after chemotherapy. Research looking at other types of cancers has shown that chemo can cause thought and memory problems. Researchers have also used MRI scans to look into whether the brain works differently in people who have had chemotherapy. The researchers also found that the area of the brain dealing with emotions became more active in people who’d had chemo and then reported problems. A Dutch trial looked at women with breast cancer and compared different types of chemotherapy. Other cancer treatments Many people have more than one type of treatment for cancer, which makes it difficult to work out what is causing a particular side effect.

CLEVELAND,Ohio -- Chemotherapy can save a cancer patient's life. But those who have struggled with chemo brain -- if they even know its name -- can testify to the frustration of not being able to complete the simplest tasks. Social psychologist Jean Alvarez, a breast cancer survivor, struggled with the condition for years. In 2007, the Lakewood resident turned to neurofeedback when nothing else seemed to help her get rid of the two symptoms she said were "left over" from chemotherapy treatment that ended years earlier. Finding a provider Social psychologist Jean Alvarez is one of two Northeast Ohio local providers of the neurofeedback system used in the chemo brain study, the results of which appeared online earlier this month in the journal Integrative Cancer Therapies. Alvarez wanted to regain her ability to multitask cognitively, instead of being able to focus only on one thing at a time. Traditional neurofeedback pinpoints a specific area of the brain in need of correction.

ΠΕΡIΛΗΨΗ. H απόφαση για τη χειρουργική αντιμετώπιση του ασθενούς με καρκίνο του πνεύμονα βασίζεται κυρίως στην εγχειρησιμότητα του ασθενούς και την εξαιρεσιμότητα του όγκου. Διάφορες προεγχειρητικές εξετάσεις και δοκιμασίες συμβάλουν στην αποσαφήνιση της εγχειρησιμότητας, δηλαδή στη δυνατότητα του ασθενή να υποβληθεί σε χειρουργική επέμβαση πνεύμονα, με κυριώτερη τη σπειρομέτρηση. Όσον αφορά στην εξαιρεσιμότητα, δηλαδή αν ο όγκος είναι σε εγχειρήσιμο στάδιο, διάφορες εξετάσεις, με κυριώτερη την αξονική τομογραφία, συμβάλουν στη σταδιοποίηση του όγκου και τη επιλογή της θεραπευτικής διαδικασίας. Παρά τα όποια κριτήρια προτείνονται για την επιλογή αυτή, η ογκολογική ομάδα σε συνεργασία πρέπει να αποφασίσει για τον τρόπο αντιμετώπισης του όγκου, στη βάση της μοναδικότητας της περίπτωσης και λαμβάνοντας υπ’όψιν και την επιθυμία του ίδιου του ασθενή.
