party receiver oct 26, 2006 party receiver by jinseup ted shin from usa designer's own words: This is a small electronic device that receives an FM signal from your music player, i.e. ipod, cell phone, cd player or any device equipped with an FM transmitter. At a party it is always hard to control the music you play, the sound of volume is not playing evenly throughout the place and you always have to have a big and bulky stereo system. Just plug this simple device into your power outlets; it will receive songs from your music player, even from your tiny ipod shuffle throughout entire place. It has a simple mechanism, speaker, led, and FM receiver. At first you plug in to a power outlet, the front indicator light will flash. If you like to pump up the volume you plug more in. title usage detail jinseup ted shin

Bottle Cap Sharpener by Yuchen Liu & Yanko Design Bottle O’ Shavings Designers, parents and anyone with a creative mind will love this Bottle Cap Sharpener. It could be your house with these home furnishings, most of which are available at the click of a mouse. Individually, they might be described as conversation pieces; put them all together and you'll have a house of horrors no one would want to visit twice. One of these products used the description "Gruesome, bloody, and absolutely offensive." This collection is not for the squeamish. Dining Room Designer Amy Lau was inspired by the serial killer show on Showtime when she came up with these Dexter dining room chairs. Lighting The Blood Bucket Lamp looks like it's pouring all over your desktop, but the blood is the stem and base. Lamp This Blood Lamp doesn't look that bloody, but the way you turn it on can be considered gruesome. Cutlery The Bloody Kitchen Knife is food safe, except when someone comes into the kitchen and sees you use it! Coffee Set How about a 14-piece Bloody Coffee Set, complete with drops and smears? Moon Life United Nude Flat Pack Shoe | by Levent Ozler- Spanish performance-artist Alicia Framis initiated the "Moon Life" project which is about space travel and the speculation of future living in space. She invited a select group of artists, architects and designers to create futuristic, radical and even political but humane concepts for the lunar environment. By choosing to create a piece for indoor use, United Nude, was able to craft a high-heeled shoe both elegant and sexy while not be limited by the extreme conditions of space such as temperature and pressure. The further the journey, the more it will cost to transport by weight and volume. The base of the shoe is built from flat carbon fiber pieces, molded foot-bed pieces and 3-dimensional sole pieces that simply slot into each other. United Nude is developing a final version of this product that will be available for purchase in very limited numbers. Sponsored Links

82 Clever and Creative Fred & Friends Products I'm sure you've come across Fred & Friend products before at your local indie store and might not have even known it. Last weekend I was cruising around town and stopped at an indie store only to find one whole corner of the place dedicated to Fred & Friend products. It was heavenly. I stood there for probably more than a half hour laughing and checking out all their cool stuff. Visual Culture & Jammin' in the Rain Jammin’ in the Rain Rain doesn’t have to be dreary. The Rain Drum is a beat making product that features mounted sound inputs on the exterior of an umbrella top that make different drum noises when raindrops touch it. The shade of the umbrella contains five wax-cloth coverings with varying elasticities to create a range of tones and frequencies, depending on the size and speed of the falling rain drop. Continuous Pencil by U Jung Heo, Young Gag Han & Sa Yoeng Kim & Yanko Design Never Ending Pencil To cut a long story short, what we have here is a simple writing tool called the Continuous Pencil, which can be used till the very end. We usually end up discarding pencil stubs…I know my children waste too many saying that short pencils are uncomfortable to hold. So basically you keep increasing the length of your stubs with a handy interim-headless-long stick that fits snugly into its rear. Quite simple and straight, but is it a refinement of the 1 + 1 Pencil? The Continuous Pencil won an iF Concept Design this year! Designers: U Jung Heo, Young Gag Han & Sa Yoeng Kim

The Sensu Brush: An Artist's Brush for the iPad | Design Blog Artist Hardware, a group who usually designs products for other companies, has decided to develop a project of their own. They're using Kickstarter to fund the production of the Sensu Brush, a true artist's brush for the iPad. And since the iPad is portable, the brush should be too, right? They designed the handle for dual function—to reverse as a cover with a stylus on the end. See the promo video below. Sensu Brush was developed using a new conductive fiber technology originally developed for cosmetic brushes to better release fine powder particles when the brush came in contact with the skin. Re_Vinyl clocks by Pavel Sidorenko & Yanko Design Vinyl Record Clocks of Many Shapes Now, before I begin explaining what’s going on here, I’ve got to say that this ISN’T the first time I’ve seen someone apply the clock idea to a vinyl record. But- but! In addition to the enticing nature these clocks already present, let me throw another tasty carrot into your soup: perfect uniqueness. Take a peek! *”plate” is another word for “record”, this comes from the idea that the record resembles a plate that you’d put your food on and eat off of. Designer: Pavel Sidorenko
