Greene Acres Hobby Farm: Ramen Noodle Salad (Coleslaw) I would love to share one of my favorite "water" holiday recipes. I consider water holidays Memorial, 4th of July, and Labor Day. Our family always finds a lake or a pool to celebrate by, enjoy, and eat tons of food! The only trick to this easy meal is it needs to be made several hours or the night before your event (best) to taste perfect. Ingredients: 1 pack slaw

Cauliflower Crust Pizza I came across this cauliflower crust pizza on Pinterest, and was instantly intrigued. A low-carb pizza? Sign me up! I was skeptical, of course, but curious enough to try it and see how it tasted. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Now obviously, it is not quite the same as a traditional piece of pizza with soft, chewy crust, but it’s a great substitute when you’re watching your carb intake.

Lasagna Cups I have to tell you guys, I had a lot of fun with this recipe! I had a blast making these with my niece and turning this idea into dinner the other day. Who doesn’t love a pasta cup filled with delicious sauce and ooey gooey cheese? I think I could say that EVERYONE falls under this category. Oh mama are these good. Snickerdoodle Blondies Snickerdoodle Blondies Hooray! Finally, finals are over and I have time to sleep during regular hours once again. I wrote a total of 51 pages in essays last week and am so glad it’s all over. I decided to celebrate and do what I haven’t been able to do all week.. Bake! Healthy Homemade Corn Dogs It’s summer! Across the country, state and county fairs are offering loads of delicious processed foods on sticks. Foods that kids love (and I hate to admit, some of us adults too). Today as my boys and I strolled through the brightly colored booths at the Ventura County Fair, we inhaled the decadence of fried fair treats, creating memories of summer. These are the memories we will eventually go back to on cold November afternoons, encouraging us to take out a box of frozen corn dogs in order to recapture the experience.

Apple Pies I know, I’ve made a few pies lately. But see how these are different? Look at how adorable these are! Crockpot Chicken Tacos I'll keep this short and sweet: this is one of my all time favorite recipes. If there is one crockpot recipe you need in your repertoire, this is it. But truthfully, after making it once you won't even need the recipe because it's just so darn easy. - sweet road -: How to make 1 cupcake Picking out a single dessert to indulge in (alone or with a friend!) at a bakery almost has a romantic allure to it. Baking a batch of cupcakes or brownies at home often seems like a fun idea, but sitting alone in the kitchen with a half eaten pan of brownies and a stomach ache is not exactly my idea of a good time. Cream Cheese Mint Recipe I love cream cheese mints! 4 oz cream cheese (room temperature) 1 pound (16 ounces) powdered sugar 1/8 – 1/4 tsp. oil of peppermint (or other flavoring)

Scalloped Hasselback Potatoes “Scalloped” is an attractive word, isn’t it? When I hear it I think of several things: first, there’s scallops, as in the seafood—totally delicious. Then there’s the scalloped shape that can live on the edge of a pair of shorts or on the collar of a woman’s blouse—always pretty and dainty. Sassy Wonton Tacos Recipe Ingredients 8 small square wonton wrappers (usually stocked with the tofu in the refrigerated section of the market) 1 cup dry coleslaw mix 2 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro 2 tbsp. Newman's Own Lite Low Fat Sesame Ginger Dressing (or another low-fat sesame ginger dressing) 4 oz. cooked and shredded (or finely chopped) skinless lean chicken breast 2 tbsp. BBQ sauce with about 45 calories per 2-tbsp. serving Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Red Velvet Mug Cake Monday, March 19, 2012 I’m not sure where the inspiration came for making this mug cake this week. It wasn’t a suggestion by a reader, it wasn’t some idea that popped into my head that I had jotted down. It just sort of magically appeared into my thoughts while I was in the kitchen. And once it was there, the question became, why hadn’t the thought appeared sooner? buffalo chicken garbage bread My morning consisted of dancing in my kitchen to Rihanna and Beyonce while making buffalo chicken garbage bread. What did you do today? I also cleaned out the sink in an effort to remain in good daughter graces.

Pierogi Recipe October 2, 2010 My mom is obsessed with keeping a stocked freezer, but I guess I don’t really take after her, because my freezer tends to be relatively empty, aside from random containers of stock/ramen broth, frozen dumplings and pierogi. I admit, I store buy frozen chinese dumplings and pierogi for those times that I just don’t feel like cooking. I tell myself it’s because of ease and convenience, but really, I just love the taste of frozen pockets filled with deliciousness.
