QR Code Resume Makes Your Embossed Paper Look Lame
Prepare to feel really inadequate about your chosen resume font. This dude has fashioned a custom QR code resume that is sure to break up the monotony of any HR person's day. Made by Victor Petit — who was looking for an internship but recently scored one — this resume is reminiscent of band Cassius's video and accompanying app [iTunes link] for "I Love You So." It features a QR code in the middle of a picture of a face (on the back of a printed resume) that unlocks a video of the missing mouth on your phone. "I realized during my previous job search that getting an interview at a communication agency is the hardest part of the process," says Petit. We're not sure what exactly Petit's skills are from the video alone — it has no sound — aside from being extremely awesome.

It was a fun project. However, when you leave school, you don’t always get the chance to work with these really amazing printing techniques or even figure them into your budget, but what I will talk about in this guide are popular and affordable. Consider them in your next print project! Note: I will be using a few print design terminologies here, and if you’re unfamiliar with some of these terms, you can get up to speed by reading my guide on preparing your work for print. Embossing/Debossing Embossing and dembossing are similar processes that create a different result. Embossing produces a raised impression on your paper stock, while debossing creates a depressed impression. Lazy Bugger’s Guide to Content Curation | Real-Time News Curation | Scoop.it I’m seeing more Scoopit links in my Twitter stream and I’m not crazy about it. Sure it’s quick and easy to share with Scoopit. But it not quick and easy to consume. Marty Note (here is comment I wrote on Dr. Appreciate Bryan’s and Joseph’s comment, but I rarely use Scoop.it as a pass through. Rich snippets are “blog” posts that fall between Twitter and the 500 to 1,000 words I would write in Scenttrail Marketing. I was taught NOT to pass through links on Scoop.it early on by the great curator @Robin Good . Bryan is correct that some curators new to Scoop.it haven’t learned the Robin Good lesson yet. For my part I always identify my Scoop.it links, probably about half the content I Tweet and about a quarter of my G+ shares. When you follow or consistently share content from a great curator on Scooop.it you begin to understand HOW they shape the subjects they curate. So, sorry you are sad to see Scoop.it links and understand your frustration. Marty Via Martin (Marty) Smith
