Visualization of Mathematics An ongoing project to provide visualization tools to students in multivariable calculus has led to a broader interest in the visualization of mathematics. Lately I have been particularly interested in the GeoWall, a system which uses polarized filters to display stereo images in three dimensions. As the name implies, GeoWalls have largely been used by Earth Scientists, and we are just starting to explore its potential in mathematics. This page has a sampling of three-dimensional visualizations for use with a GeoWall, although all of them can be run in non-stereo mode as well. If you are specifically interested in course materials for multivariable calculus and vector analysis, follow the "Vector Calculus" link on the menu to the left. Standalone OpenGL applications LiveGraphics3D Materials The following materials were all created with LiveGraphics3D, a Java applet written by Martin Kraus. Clicking on any of the following links will open the applet in a new window.

Free Language Arts Worksheets Language Arts Worksheets Our topics are well spread out and really challenege learners that are new or even advanced in topics. Adjectives- Have a go at the descriptive words. Te@ch Me Prezi Part 4: Adapting a Reading Text Prezi is one of the leading Web 2.0 applications embraced especially by language teachers since it has the capacity to present information in a completely different way. In my previous Prezi posts, I have tried to show the basics of how to create a Prezi. In this post, I am going to show one way of using a Prezi in the reading classroom. Using Prezi as a tool to accompany the reading class can be an efficient and fun way to address the students' perceptions and their desires to experience something different. Here is how you can do it: 1. A pasted paragraph and all paragraphs in one view 2. a) Dictionary definitions: You zoom into a word and paste/write the dictionary definition under/into the word. You can write definitions of words "under" the words b) Images: You zoom into the word/concept and insert an image into a suitable place in the word. . The image has been inserted into the letter "n". c) Videos: You insert a video into the word/concept. 3.

Bingo Card Generator | Teaching Stuff Important Note: I have now made a much better bingo card generator. You can still use this one if you like (there are a couple of situations where it might be more useful) but the new bingo card generator makes much better looking bingo cards, and has a number of other advantages. This little app will create a set of bingo cards in no time - the keywords are automatically randomized for each card. Just enter the words for each box separated by a new line, select the number of cards, and hit "Make Bingo Cards!" Your bingo cards will then be downloaded as a pdf which you can print and save for future use. There are two A5 cards per sheet so you just need to chop them in half on a guillotine. You need at least nine entries to fill a 3x3 bingo card - if you enter 16 or more the cards automatically resize to 4x4. If you're looking for number bingo cards try myfreebingocards.com
