Juxtapose does not support uploading images. The URLs for the left and right image should be direct URLs to images, except if you are using Flickr to host images, in which case Juxtapose can transform the Flickr image page URL to the correct format. You can also use images stored on Dropbox.com by clicking on the button with the Dropbox logo. Services like Imgur and Photobucket generally prohibit 'hotlinking' to images they serve, which is what Juxtapose does, so those will not work, or will stop working after appearing to work. This page describes a method for using images stored on Google Drive, but this is not technically supported, and could stop working at any time.

Too Big to Know: Rethinking Knowledge Now That the Facts Aren’t the Facts, Experts Are Everywhere, and the Smartest Person in the Room Is the Room.

5 Resources To Make Your Next Presentation Pop Perhaps you are like me and have to sit through presentations often. Sometimes they are great. You can tell the presenter put a lot of thought into what they want to talk about and it feels like they really know their stuff. The slides they use are engaging and help reinforce the story that’s being told. But then there are those times that are the complete opposite... The presentation seems disjointed and incomplete. Or maybe the slides look like these... A lot of the work I do has me creating presentations several times a week. There are some great resources to make your (or your students’) presentations really pop. Presentation Zen-One of the first books I bought after I started doing presentations regularly was this one by Garr Reynolds. The TED Commandments-It you look at a previous post all about using TED Talks in the Classroom there are some common themes in the videos even though they are all different.

Pierpaolo Buzza

How to Use Pixiclip to Create Instructional Videos Pixiclip is a free tool for creating simple instructional videos. I featured it in the Practical Ed Tech newsletter a couple of weeks ago and a handful of people replied to me with questions about it. To answer those questions I recorded the video that is embedded below. A few things to note about Pixiclip before you start using it. Applications for Education Pixiclip could be a good tool to use to create short instructional videos to share with your students. Your students can use Pixiclip to create videos to demonstrate that they understand how to solve a math problem. Pixiclip is the tenth tool that I'm adding to my list of good tools for creating videos on Chromebooks.
