The collection, storage, and care of large objects present ongoing challenges for museums of all sizes. Due to their size it is often necessary to store large objects in less than ideal collection storage conditions. Using six scenarios common to the storage of these objects that small museums or historical institutions would be likely to encounter, CWB staff, consultants, and volunteers began to collect a majority of the data to develop the process using digital photographs processed in Agisoft Photoscan. Quick Prototyping Tools for Emerging Technologies | by IDEO CoLab | IDEO CoLab | Medium Just 25 of our go-to tools for learning about the potential of new technologies Here at IDEO CoLab, to say that we’re fans of prototyping is an understatement. We’re constantly prototyping. In 2017, we’ve already built over 93 prototypes — and the year’s not over yet. We believe that prototyping helps us get closer to the future. Only by building a fleshed out prototype can we get a sense of its challenges and possibilities, revealing insights that give us a glimpse of where emerging technologies like blockchain, AI, IoT, and XR can take us. Needless to say, we’ve gotten very familiar with different build tools and we’d love to share them with you. Happy building GOBOTREE bodies-in-motion 30 second sequences from BiM Not long ago, I had twelve artists from Natural Motion (of Morpheme and Clumsy Ninja fame) into Somerset House, my home away from home, for a four day anatomy workshop. At the end of each day we would take about 20 minutes to draw from the Bodies in Motion library. sketching from BiM We made extensive use of the timer for gesture drawing. timelapse of a sequence of 30 second poses
