Le manuscrit médiéval Medieval and Modern Thought Text Digitization Project: Welcome Welcome "To strengthen Stanford University Library holdings in the field of Western Medieval thought and its influence on modern times" The goal is to digitize on an ongoing basis printed reference works, source collections, and primary and secondary books in the broad area of medieval and modern thought. Current local research needs help to determine the material selected for digitization. Several special interest areas are being pursued. A facsimile of the work and searchable text is being created, cataloged in Socrates, and delivered over the web. Financial support for this project is from Smart Family Foundation and Allan Morgan Standish bookfund, established by Beatrix Mesmer Standish in memory of her husband, and sustained by Mrs.
Paléographie médiévale Catalogue of Digitized Medieval Manuscripts: About Us The Catalogue of Digitized Medieval Manuscripts (2006-2013). In 2013 active development on the CDMMSS ceased, and in 2015 the site was retired. This site was designed to enable users to find fully digitized manuscripts currently available on the web. As electronic resources continue to permeate scholarship, the challenge of keeping abreast with new developments becomes ever more pressing. The Catalogue of Digitized Medieval Manuscripts offers a simple and straightforward means to discover medieval manuscripts available on the web. The Catalogue first began to take form in Christopher Baswell’s talk at the MLA conference in December, 2005.
Codex Gigas The Codex Gigas or the Devil’s Bible at the National Library in Stockholm is famous for two features. First, it is reputed to be the biggest surviving European manuscript. (Codex Gigas means ‘giant book’.) Secondly, it contains a large, full page portrait of the Devil. This site contains a digitised version of every page of the manuscript as well as commentaries on its history, texts, script, initials and decoration. The Highlights contain a selection of images from the manuscript. The original manuscript is no longer on display for the general public. Codex Gigas digital images by Per B. Harvard The Houghton Library’s distinguished collection of medieval and Renaissance manuscripts represents a significant resource for the study of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance in Western Europe. Assembled through gifts and purchase over the past two centuries, this collection includes works in Latin, Greek, and most of the vernacular languages of Europe that are the primary sources for the study of the literature, art, history, music, philosophy, and theology of the periods. This Web site provides strategies for searching Houghton's medieval manuscripts as well as links to bibliographies related to these materials that were compiled by the Library. Permission to publish from any manuscript is granted at the discretion of the Curator. See Houghton's Reproductions and Permissions page for more information.

Manuscrits numérisés en ligne | Libraria Les initiatives pour mettre en ligne des images de manuscrits médiévales foisonnent dans le monde entier. Mieux encore sont les bibliothèques et autres institutions qui mettent en ligne des manuscrits entiers, des facsimilés numériques. Un outil utile pour les trouver des manuscrits numérisés est le "Catalogue of Digitized Medieval Manuscripts" construit au "Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies" de la "University of California, Los Angeles" (UCLA). Il permet des véritable recherches par cote, auteur, titre, langue) dans une base de 3100 manuscrits numérisés dans des institutions les plus diverses. Une simple liste de liens vers des institutions qui ont mise en ligne plus de dix manuscrits est offert par le site NetbibWiki dans "Large Digital Libraries of western manuscripts".
