Out Of Body Experience Guaranteed – Alarm Clock Technique It is impossible not to be curious out having an out of body experience. Not just because it is something bound in mystery and excitement – the idea of being liberated from the limiting confines of our bodies is indeed very appealing – but because it is something which makes up a certain essence of our culture. Mankind has always dreamt about releasing himself, whether through controlled flight or artificial weightlessness, or through redemption and religious experiences. Having an out of body experience is something, which we cannot help but crave, and something that, in many ways, is very easy to imagine. We all encounter something not dissimilar to an out of body experience each night when we dream, and within our dreams, we are free from any of the limitations we face in waking life.

It’s D.E.A.R Day! As it turns out, today is National Drop Everything And Read day. Of all the obscure holidays (April is apparently not only home to April Fools Day, which really distinguishes the deluge of assheads from the rest of humanity, but also to National Love Your Produce Manager Day) this is one I can get behind. For the uninitiated (and don’t feel bad if that means you), the holiday is an annual celebration which takes place on April 12 (not coincidentally Beverly Cleary’s birthday) that encourages people to DROP EVERYTHING AND READ!

Show them how.” ~Unknown When I was a teenager, right around the time I knew everything, my mother used to tell me I only remembered the bad things. When I told stories about my family, they didn’t revolve around family beach trips, barbecues, and vacations; they focused on painful memories and all the ways I felt my mother had “ruined my life.” The same applied to friends and milestones in my life.

New Reader? Start Here... Hello there! We're Elsie + Emma. We're living our dream blogging daily, designing dresses and making something every single day. A Beautiful Mess started in July of 2007. 20 Books Every Woman Should Read in Her 20s Recently, we stumbled upon this list of “fun” books that every woman should read in her 20s — needless to say, if you’re even a casual visitor to this space, the books (Confessions of a Shopaholic, Bitches on a Budget) aren’t exactly the ones we’d choose. So, perhaps rather predictably, we decided to put together our own list instead. Now, don’t forget, these are books for women in their 20s — we assume you’ve already read as much Jane Austen and Louisa May Alcott as you care to, we expect that you’ve already tackled To Kill a Mockingbird and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and Jane Eyre. And though women should read all books about all kinds of things and by all kinds of authors, this list sort of necessarily skews towards both female writers and characters, given the topic of the day. Click through to check out our reading list — and since every woman should read more than 20 books in her 20s (hundreds, ladies!)

4 Sites with LOTS Of Completely Free Ebooks That Don’t Suck If you’re a fervent reader and nerd like I am, you’ve probably encountered quite a lot of writing online. However, most of them are either absolute garbage or entirely illegal. It’s hard to find good, legal reads online – unless you know where to look. There are several sites that offer classic out-of-copyright writing, or publishes new e-books online as promotions. Going On a Date Without Breaking the Bank photo: Shayne Kaye According to one economist, the true cost of a date is around $250. That includes dinner, a movie, and the opportunity cost of time spent on a date. I’m not sure I buy the “cost of time” part, but I agree that the whole “dinner and a movie” routine can get pricey pretty quickly. That’s why I tend to suggest other activities. My go-to activity for a cheap date?

A caveat, however: this is not a fancy English-professor-y list of the finest, most exquisitely crafted, most erudite or intellectually sophisticated works on paper in the language.

6 Life-Changing Uses for Binder Clips (That You Couldve Easily Thought Of)... Yes, it may seem like an ordinary binder clip. And it is. Knights Templar rotten > Library > Conspiracy > Knights Templar According to legend, the Knights Templar was founded in 1118 to protect tourists headed for Jerusalem. There the small band of warrior monks established a headquarters. In due course, they somehow managed to gain possession of the Ark of the Covenant, which they hid for safekeeping. Even though the Templars swore allegiance to the Pope, their beliefs were not exactly orthodox. They believed that Jesus Christ had conceived three children with Mary Magdalene, who moved to France after the crucifixion.
