TetraBox Light by Ed Chew Liquid to Light Designer Ed Chew takes a green step in the right direction with the TetraBox lamp, a light object made from discarded drink packets that would have otherwise ended up in landfills already packed to the brim. The design is achieved by unfolding the packets and refolding them into hexagonal and pentagonal sections that are then pieced together to form a geodesic sphere or any other desired shape. Here, the Epcot-like ball makes an attractive overhead light and casts an impressive web of shadows and shapes on the surrounding space. Musings and articles: How to hold the pencil The least frequently asked question about drawing is “How do you hold the pencil?” Most people are simply unaware that there is more than one way to hold it. They unconsciously use the writing pen grip they learned in elementary school, and it does not occur to them to even think of changing it.

felise Welcome!! Hey! There's a 90% chance you found this via my 8tracks mix. Figure drawing: Basic Pose and Construction 1. Introduction This method is to help you draw the human form. It is by no means the best way or even a fast way. Instead, this method is aimed at thinking and setting up the human form in a threedimensional space. Classical animation (most notably Disney) uses a similar way of setting up their characters. Drawing Hands This short tutorial is a just a small taste of a larger and much more in-depth book I wrote called The Mad Art of Caricature! The book is 175 full-color pages, lavishly illustrated and contains greatly expanded explanations of the concepts presented in this tutorials, as well and a great deal of additional material on caricaturing other facial features, posture, hands, expression and more, techniques on drawing from live models, doing caricature for freelance illustration and for MAD Magazine. This is a must have book for anyone interested in caricature, cartooning or humorous illustration. You can order it online here. How to Draw Hands Easily the most asked question I get is “how do you draw caricatures?”.

How to Draw Ears For a video version of this tutorial visit www.proko.com/how-to-draw-ears-anatomy-and-structure In this tutorial I will go over the parts of the ear and suggest an easy way to remember all these complex shapes. At the end, I will show a step by step of an ear drawing. Basic Forms The simplified volume of the ear is very much like a megaphone. This is easier to see from the back, where the concha is like the tubular part and the helix is the lip part of the megaphone.

UFO at NFL game A large, “cigar-shaped” UFO was spotted moving very swiftly in footage aired during an NFL game, on Sunday Oct. 23 in New Orleans. It was argued in an AOL article that the craft was caused by “insects that got caught in that interlaced video as they’re flying through with a wing beat frequency, and the frames are being captured at a frequency… that causes that look,” according to a member of MUFON, and similar sentiments were expressed by a special effects expert, who also stated that he was “sure that there’s a conventional explanation,” which shows us that his mind was made up before he ever saw any footage. I have to say that, since the object goes behind the church in two of the frames of the video, it seems highly unlikely to me that such an explanation is adequate. Assuming it is a UFO far enough away from the camera to be behind the church steeples, that means that it is LARGE, and for an object of that size, it is moving FAST.
