Award-Winning Nature and Wildlife Photography by Burrard-Lucas This is a special edition and a first on PxlEyes: we have the pleasure of presenting 50 of the most incredible wildlife photos taken by a group, formed of two talented photographers. They’re called Burrard – Lucas and they are brothers! With numerous awards for their work, the young brothers from the UK had the privilege of traveling to many remote and wild locations from around the world. Their images were displayed in the Natural History Museum in London and the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC. The main goal of their portofolio is to inspire people and encourage them to preserve the beautiful nature with its amazing flora and fauna. That’s why we also love the idea of displaying a showcase that rises from all the passion for a pure and better life, for nature! 1,000 Core CPU Achieved: Your Future Desktop Will Be a Supercomputer Scientists at the University of Massachusetts Lowell laugh in the face of Intel's weedy handful of cores in its new CPU lineup: They've just squeezed over a thousand processor cores onto a single chip. We've heard a lot about the potential for future desktop-sized supercomputers, but more than anything else this research proves that in the not-too-distant future it's likely to be a reality. Interestingly enough, there's also a green angle to this idea: FPGA chips can be more power efficient than their competitors, and if less computer time is needed to process complex tasks, then the overall power consumption of computers using the tech could be impressively low. The advance was made by Dr.

Erupting volcanoes can pose many hazards, not only in the immediate vicinity of the eruption. One such hazard is that volcanic ash can be a threat to aircraft, in particular those with jet engines where ash particles can be melted by the high operating temperature; the melted particles then adhere to the turbine blades and alter their shape, disrupting the operation of the turbine. Large eruptions can affect temperature as ash and droplets of sulfuric acid obscure the sun and cool the Earth's lower atmosphere (or troposphere); however, they also absorb heat radiated up from the Earth, thereby warming the upper atmosphere (or stratosphere). Surely nothing related to safety. For example, take a look at the free climbing guys. They are at a dizzy height, with one step closer to an awful death but they still stop and take pictures.
