papercraft Johan Scherft Papercraft Birds, frogs, fish and boats All the birds shown on this page are three dimensional models, I made from thin paper. They are lifesize, and very realistic in colour and detail. KH: The Battleship Release The Battleship Well, finally finished this project. I could have gotten this done sooner, but sadly procrastination and the urge to cool myself off in the pool was too much to bare over the heat of the summer. Anyway, this was an easy build, fiddly parts are the skull and the small parts that go into making the wheel. Other than that, everything else was smooth sailing!

Tutorial: Easy Tiny Envelopes Guest tutorial by Ruth Bleakley I discovered this envelope making method completely by accident when pulling soggy rain-soaked mail out of my leaky mailbox - I had a total *eureka* moment when the envelope I gingerly opened up completely unfolded at the seams revealing an envelope "template" perfectly. I've seen many envelope tutorials online, some offer downloadable templates, some show fancy paper folding techniques and some suggest specific measurements to create your own D.I.Y. envelopes. I'm going to show you how to replicate any interesting envelope that you might already have, no measuring involved! Click below for the how-to: 1.

The LibriVox Free Audiobook Collection : Free Audio LibriVox recording of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. Read by John Greenman. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (published 1876) is a very well-known and popular story concerning American youth. Abigail Halpin: Mark Your Place Because everyone and their brother makes a New Year's resolution to read more (yours truly included), here's something to help you out: a bookmark tutorial. You'll need cardboard (I used a leftover mailer), paint, a paintbrush, a pen and scissors. Trace the template onto your cardboard (full size = about 1 3/4 by 4 inches). Cut out, then carefully make a slit for both arms, slightly rounding out the hands once free.

DIY "Moleskine" Ereader cover For the base of my e-reader cover, I decided to use the shell of a hardback book. You could use a hardback book from a thrift store or some thick non-corrugated paperboard or other such material that will be durable and won't bend easily. I got my "base" book - 39 Clues - from a closing Borders store for next to nothing. 20 Beautiful Highly Detailed Papercraft Models Most of us, at least once in our lives, have built a paper model with delight and passion. Some of those models were printed in the back of box of cereals or as a magazine insert. Mini Marquee Sign with Lights We made this giant marquee sign last summer and I loved making it so when I saw these Mini Globe Lights I knew had to make a mini version. I actually made this project last month but forgot to take photos. So when I pulled them out of the bag the letters were a little bent after being ignored.

DIY Kindle Cover This instructable flows out of Rayeath's very helpful nook cover instructable with some (hopefully) helpful changes. How to convert a hardback book into a Kindle cover with a strap: What you will need: 1) A book you don't mind chopping up; this book must be at least 7.5" tall, 5" wide, and 1 cm thick (though a little thicker might be better) 2) Two sheets of craft felt which are larger than the books covers by approximately 2 inches on all sides 3) Hot glue gun & glue sticks 4) Up to 3' of 1/2" braided elastic 5) Stiff paperboard; Rayeath recommends a cereal box, I used the covers of an old composition notebook 6) Scissors 7) X-acto knife 8) Paperclip 9) Ruler 10) Sharpie
