What is APA? APA stands for the American Psychological Association, which is an organization that focuses on psychology. They are responsible for creating this specific citation style. What is APA Citing? APA style is used by many scholars and researchers in the behavioral and social sciences, not just psychology. Following the same standard format for citations allows readers to understand the types of sources used in a project and also understand their components. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association is currently in its 6th edition. We cite sources for many reasons. What Does it Look Like? There are two types of citations. Those that are found in the body of a project are called in-text/parenthetical citations. Depending on the types of sources used for your project, the structure for each citation may look different. Even though the structure varies across different sources, see below for a full explanation of in-text citations and reference citations. Example:

It originally was a feature of Google+, becoming a standalone product in 2013, when Google also began integrating features from Google+ Messenger and Google Talk into Hangouts. In 2017, Google began developing two separate enterprise communication products: Google Meet and Google Chat,[8] as a part of its Google Workspace office suite. History[edit] Prior to the launch of Hangouts, Google had maintained several similar, but technologically separate messaging services and platforms across its suite of products. About APA Psychology is a diverse discipline, grounded in science, but with nearly boundless applications in everyday life. Some psychologists do basic research, developing theories and testing them through carefully honed research methods involving observation, experimentation and analysis. Other psychologists apply the discipline's scientific knowledge to help people, organizations and communities function better. As psychological research yields new information, whether it's improved interventions to treat depression or how humans interact with machines, these findings become part of the discipline's body of knowledge and are applied in work with patients and clients, in schools, in corporate settings, within the judicial system, even in professional sports. Psychology is a doctoral-level profession.
