The French contemporary brand founded by three brothers in 2008 has always stuck to a very specific, and successful — there are now about 400 stores worldwide — marketing formula, involving real-life couples in its ad campaigns and making sure its men's and women's collections mirror each other to some degree. But now, as all brands must do in such a crowded landscape, it's shaking things up. In what I'm told was a rare occurrence, all three French brothers — Creative Directors Alexandre and Laurent, along with Director of Brand Image Raphaël Elicha — were in New York together in a suite at the NoMad hotel last week to meet with press, present their latest collections and discuss the evolution of The Kooples.

Also after multiple years of testing and many iterations, we’re excited to introduce all new styles to the Rogue Territory line up. The Field Jacket is our interpretation of a vintage light weight hunting jacket we came across while diving for vintage clothes a couple years back. We’ve made a few modifications to give it a fresh feel, like a slimmer fit, modified pocket design, a club style collar and accent bartacks. Some great additional details are the “pocket within a pocket” on the left chest and hidden phone pocket in the larger left flap pocket. We’re introducing a new Pop-over shirt, which is a classic design with some slight design twists. Reiss sold to US private equity firm | Business The founder of fashion chain Reiss has banked a £100m-plus windfall after selling a majority stake in the upmarket brand, which is a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge. David Reiss, who took over a single gentleman’s outfitters in London’s Bishopsgate run by his father in 1971 and built it into an international empire, has struck a deal with American private equity firm Warburg Pincus that values the business at £230m. Reiss, who owned 90% of the business, will get the bumper payout and also retain a significant stake in the business. He is also staying on as chairman and chief executive. The management team, who share the remaining 10% stake in the business, will also remain in place. The retailer said teaming up with the US investors would enable Reiss to step up expansion in North America, Asia and Australia. The business, which only began selling womenswear in 2000, now operates 160 stores in 15 countries.

H&M & Other Stories Preview Film Released | British Vogue H&M has released a preview film of its new high-end line, & Other Stories. Although members of the fashion press were invited to see the collection last week under a strict confidentiality agreement, this is the first time the brand has showcased the long-awaited range for all to see. So what can we expect? A black coat with a cinched in waist, a floor-length gown featuring a plunging neckline, skirts - one high-waisted and short and another that's knee-length and colourful, a Breton-striped top, tailoring covered in white and grey blurred prints and culottes that would be a welcome addition to any spring wardrobe. The label's inaugural collection will be unveiled in full this spring, with seven stores opening in various European countries - including a shop on London's Regent Street.
