Unfettered F-U-N . . . Rainbow Jelly Shooter!

Unfettered F-U-N . . . Rainbow Jelly Shooter!
Rainbow Jelly Shooter Its been a whirlwind at the test kitchen. The book is progressing (crossing fingers that it is going to press in early December!), we have been working on a little something (three little somethings, actually) for Saveur.com, and about a million more actions items cropping up here and there, many of which have not received appropriate attention and are currently housed in a bin marked "anxiety provoking". One of the highlights of our week was a lovely chat with Erin over at Tablespoon.com, who mentioned that they were hosting a Double Rainbow Week, which sounded like such fun! (And it IS - featured items include double rainbow . . . donuts! So, when the weekend rolled around, rather than trolling cocktail books for jelly shot inspiration, we decided it was high time for a bit of unfettered f-u-n . . . I love the "rainbow" gelatin technique - borrowed from the popular recipe for kids' finger gelatin. Cheers, Michelle Rainbow Jelly Shooter Yield: about 45 jelly shots

Positively Healthy Pizza. No matter where I go, no matter who I talk to, when it comes to healthy living people always seem to ask about pizza. Usually, pizza is not a bad thing – as long as you are aware of how often you eat it, how much you eat, and what you put on it… so yea, there’s still room for a slice from your favorite pizza joint once in awhile.

Plant Care Guides Spireas are small to medium sized deciduous shrubs that produce cascades of flowers in spring and summer. About This Plant Among the easiest flowering shrubs to grow, spireas are often used in foundation plantings, as hedges, and in perennial gardens. Baked Cheesy Chicken Bake Today’s recipe is a cheesy baked pasta that I found over at Our Best Bites . Sara based the recipe on a Martha Stewart recipe. This yummy dish consists of a cheesy pasta blended with chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms. Silk-Dyed Eggs {aka TIE-Dyed!} I posted this tutorial a few years ago and it has become somewhat of a tradition to bring it back every year! One of our family Easter traditions is dying eggs with pieces of silk. I saw a cute lady show Martha how to do it a few years ago and I ran upstairs right then to steal a tie! It’s way cooler than those cups of neon liquid that end up all over your clothes, your furniture and your hands plus it gives you an excuse to rid a man’s closet of ugly ties.

Birthday Cake Jello Shots About a month ago, my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Shot Glasses were featured on reddit.com, spiking the number of visits to my blog that day, and also gaining some very interesting comments. This one particularly stood out: “I love how this blog is mostly gorgeous baked goods – but every now and then she makes variations of shots – I’m picturing a young Martha Stewart who is periodically DRUNK OUT OF HER SKULL with fruit on her face”. I’m here today to tell you that my skull is fully intact and while I do enjoy the indulgence of alcohol every now and then, I at least have the decency to clean my face :) But seriously, I do like to have fun incorporating alcohol into my desserts for special occasions with friends, especially for a birthday party! This time around it was my friend Alyssa’s 24th and I didn’t want to let her down after last year’s Caramel Frappacino Cupcakes… Print Recipe

Little Space: Roasted Garlic Pizza I had originally un-published this post as part of the purge but after repeated emails asking where the post went, I decided to re publish. Ever since I tried kickpleat's pizza dough recipe, we've had different pizzas probably once a week. Our favorite, however, is the roasted garlic. Make your own jellyfish in a bottle. « BhoomPlay ~ Note for Thai fans ~ เป็นโพสเก่าที่มีแฟนบล๊อกจากต่างประเทศขอมาให้เขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษนะคะส่วนแฟนบล็อกที่ยังไม่เคยอ่านเรื่องนี้เลย ฉบับภาษาไทยดูที่นี่ค่ะ The other day, while I was thinking to get something to put in the water bottle for Bhoom to shake for fun. I saw a plastic grocery bag next to me and then this idea popped up. I think.. well, give it a try. With some trials and errors, my little jellyfish comes alive just like I thought it would be. : ) When daddy and son first saw it, they’re surprised with their jaws wide open.

Onigiri Two onigiri, or rice balls, one wrapped in dried seaweed Overview[edit] Onigiri at a convenience store in Kamakura Pizza Dip Over the last while I have slowly been trying to free up some space in my freezer and I recently came across some pizza sauce that I had left over after making a pizza a while back. As soon as I stumbled upon it I remembered thinking that I had wanted to use it to make a hot cheesy pizza dip when I put it in the freezer. Once I had that thought there was no turning back and I was already dreaming up recipes for the dip. At first I was just going to follow my standard hot cheese dip template where I just mix everything up, pour it into a dish and bake it until the cheese is melted, golden brown and bubbling but then I had another idea.
