06 avril 2014 Paris ❤ {Design Mid-Century} Musée des Arts Décoratifs Dernier article pour Paris, pour le moment du moins! De passage par le fameux Musée des Arts Décoratifs pour l'exposition du styliste belge Dries Van Noten - un belge mis à l'honneur à Paris s'il-vous-plait - que j'ai trouvé intéressante, mais un peu longue peut-être parce que la scénographie était pareille tout le long. Du coup, j'avoue, j'ai zappé les dernières vitrines … mais j'en ai profité pour explorer ce Musée qui propose toujours de très belles choses. J'étais particulièrement enthousiaste à l'idée d'aller voir à nouveau leur collection permanente de design des années 40 à 70, un véritable concentré de design vintage et créations Mid-Century.

since 1999 home of design culture, leading independent publication for design, architecture, art, photography and graphics Idees et conseils deco pour la maison by DziD Dco thorn + sparrow: home i know we're all freaking out over geometric patterns + gold glitter, but i feel like that's everywhere at the moment -- don't get me wrong, i love those triangles + shiny gold accessories! whenever something becomes super popular, i start looking to other things for inspiration, things that aren't being raved about. it's a fun hunt for me... + lately i can't seem to get emerald off my mind. i think it started when i found a vintage, emerald tahari blazer earlier this year. emerald is a complex color to me, almost a double edged sword.... a little far in one direction + it might look leprechauny, but i think when it's paired with the right textures + tones, it's absolutely stunning!

Bloesem slateblu: Sewing I'm having breakfast with my side of the family with aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. and then having an early dinner with my husband's immediate side of the family in the East Bay. It will be a busy day. I was busy sewing for little mother's day gifts...and some lite shopping. At work we were given a special deal on some skin care from one of our affiliates.
