Simple Sunburst Crochet Heart Tutorial Hello Lovelies, we are enjoying a quiet half term week here , I've been busy spring cleaning and reorganizing. But I've also taken the opportunity to write out another tutorial for you . My original Sunburst Granny Heart , which I posted last spring has turned out to be one of my most popular patterns. That's quite a complicated design though, with many different stitches .

Springtime Wreath This is my design for a little Springtime Crocheted Wreath. The pattern/tutorial that I'm writing out here is for the circular green part of the wreath, and the general putting together of the whole thing :: you can use whatever flowers you like to adorn it with (the flowers I've used here are my Little Picot Flowers, pattern found here). I've hooked my wreath on a 4mm hook, using Rowan handknit DK cotton. The wreath measures approx 15 cm/6 inches across. I'm using UK crochet terms, as follows :: sl st (slip stitch) :: insert hook, yarn over, pull the loop back through the stitch, then through the loop on your hook. Granny Bobble Spiral Hi all, My attempt at a spiral bobble pattern posted here - has been a hit with all you pinners out there, and so I have refined the pattern... Granny Bobble Spiral -

I wanted a blanket covered in 5-point stars, made up of hexagon motifs similarly to my baby girls puffed daisy blanket. This wasn't the most straightforward project to design, and I have to admit that I don't think I could just write the pattern down in a way that most people would be able to understand easily, so a comprehensive photographic tutorial is essential for this project. I would have loved to have made a video tutorial for you, but with only 1 pair of hands I'm afraid it is beyond me! (I suddenly feel the need for a large rubber band to hold my camera to my forehead! I joke, but part of me thinks I may just try it!!!

Armed only with a hook and a massive stash I was perusing through craft magazines at the bookstore when I came across the Summer 2012 issue of Stitch Craft Create. In it I found an article about basic yarn dyeing with food colouring products. In particular, I was intrigued by the idea of solar dyeing, which is a method that uses the heat from the sun to set the dye colour as an alternative to the more conventional method of the microwave or oven. With near-record high temperatures this summer, I figured I had a perfect opportunity to try this out. I bought 4 undyed skeins of yarn from a cute little LYS in Peterborough called Needles in the Hay. Two of the skeins are called Heritage, an aran-weight merino wool from Briggs & Little, and the other two are called Shepherd’s Own, a worsted-weight from Fibranatura.

A Better Granny Rectangle « crochet again Well, I think it is better : ) As I said before, in my other Granny Rectangle post (don’t go there, I think this one is better), I have always been unsatisfied with how the center of granny rectangles line up in the middle, instead of alternating like it does in the rest of the fabric. It seems weaker and is not as pleasing to me, I just don’t like it : ) Don’t know why I didn’t do it this way the first time I got the idea, but at least I thought of it now. For the size I did in the example: Ch 22 Ch 21 (corrected 8-24-13) In the 6th chain from the hook, 3dc. Skip 2 stitches, 3dc in same stitch. Lacy Crocheted Earrings Author Gene in SoCal Introduction Liven up an old pair of hoops with this simple pattern.

crochet 101 Archives Welcome back to Crochet 101, friends! Today I have a small and simple project for you that I think you’re going to like. It combines four stitches you already know: chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch. First, make your knot to get started, then chain 6. Slip stitch in the first chain to form a circle, just like we did to begin the granny square. 15 Fast Crochet Afghan Patterns There are currently no images from other crafters. close Terms & Conditions Giveaways & Freebies from Lisa I love to throw a good party.
