Shes the girl that believes that what comes around goes arou | Witty Profiles Underlined Book Quotes Become Clever Illustrations Bookworm or not, you can't help but enjoy these black and white illustrations of literary quotes by Evan Robertson. The New York-based graphic designer has taken some of the cleverest lines written by famous authors such as William Faulkner and Oscar Wilde and turned them into wonderful posters. These literature-inspired fine art illustrations are currently being sold on Etsy under the name Obvious State. Robertson would see a "little jewel of a sentence" and he'd underline it. Then, he would take those "snippets of text and ideas" and "let the words be a springboard for an illustration." As he told Huffington Post, "The illustrations incorporate and interact with the text and hopefully add up to something that engages the mind as much as the eye." Here are 12 of our favorites. Update: Check out more clever illustrations in Part II of this story. Obvious State on Etsy via [Quipsologies], [Huffington Post]

Ask E. Jean: 25 Things Every Woman Should Know - Get More Relationship Advice Dolls, in honor of ELLE's twenty-fifth anniversary, I thought I'd reveal how the Ask Eeee column started. It all happened after I was fired as a writer on Saturday Night Live—a hilarious interlude that has lent a lovely piquancy to my subsequent advice on how not to be fired. Anyway, after I was canned, I started writing for Esquire, Rolling Stone, and Outside, covering sex and adventure and sometimes both! In 1993, this led ELLE editor Amy Gross to ask me to lunch at the hottest restaurant in New York—damn, I wish I could remember the name!—and inquire if I'd like to write a monthly advice column. I nearly passed out, I was so ecstatic! 1. 2. 3. When it comes to sex and love, question (B) has a great way of yanking the blinders off and giving you a clearer picture of what's actually going on. 4. 5. 6. 7.

yo... truth 19 pictures which scream NO EXCUSES Probably one of the only times I think saying, “No” is alright, as in No Excuses. No Excuses must be one of the strongest things you can tell yourself, because it wakes you up and lets you know what you’re actually saying to yourself… … to hold yourself back. Nothing more, nothing less. However legitimate, reasonable, excusable, tired, bored, unmotivated, lazy, partied out, discouraged, listless, lethargic, stupid, slack or whatever the hell you are, guess what? Boom. No excuses to not smile and be happy Age is not an excuse bro! Jung Da Yeon: Age 43. No excuses to not make ART! No excuses to not make beautiful music No excuses to not coexist peacefully No excuses to not get along No excuses to get your ass to exercise No excuses to not be happy with all the shit you own No excuses to not be thankful No excuses to not move on with life No excuses for the life you own Being fat is not an excuse Support here on Patreon!
