The emphasis, and main body of my work, has always been of a three-dimensional nature, but over the last few years, I have given time to develop and explore new skills, particularly the use of pencil on paper to produce some of the pencil drawings which are here on this site. The drawings are part of an on-going evolutionary process of exploration and development, and thus serve only to mark and represent a particular stage in my abilities and understanding.

Anzenberger Gallery - dust Dust as a by product of civilisation, the enemy of a sterile society, a constant presence hidden in corners, nooks and crannies. Also, a microcosm made up of multiple components, a combination of different colours, textures and structures, a construct reproducing itself. Every bit of dust is different, each space produces it's unique type of dust, depending on its nature and its individual use. Over the last two years Klaus Pichler had been looking for accumulations of dust, fluff and grime in various locations in and around Vienna. In commercial premises, factories, private properties, doctor's surgeries etc. etc. > see more photographs Place Hacking John Kenn John Kenn’s Website See more art by John Kenn on this site Thanks to OvO for finding this artist!

Wafaa Bilal In the widely marketed video game Quest for Saddam, players fight stereotypical Iraqi foes and try to kill Saddam. Al Qaeda did its own take, creating an online video game using the structure of Quest for Saddam but adding a new "skin" to turn the game into a hunt for Bush: "The Night of Bush Capturing." Now artist Wafaa Bilal has hacked the Al Qaeda version of the game to put his own more nuanced spin on this epic conflict. In The Night of Bush Capturing: A Virtual Jihadi, Bilal casts himself as a suicide-bomber in the game. After learning of the real-life death of his brother in the war, he is recruited by Al Qaeda to join the hunt for Bush. Virtual Jihadi is meant to bring attention to the vulnerability of Iraqi civilians to the travesties of the current war and racist generalizations and stereotypes as exhibited in games such as Quest for Saddam; along with vulnerability to recruitment by violent groups like Al Qaeda because of the U.S.'
