Labyrinth (film) Labyrinth is a 1986 British-American musical fantasy adventure film directed by Jim Henson, executive produced by George Lucas and based upon conceptual designs by Brian Froud. The film stars David Bowie as Jareth and Jennifer Connelly as Sarah. The plot revolves around Sarah's quest to reach the center of an enormous otherworldly maze to rescue her infant brother Toby, who has been kidnapped by Jareth, the Goblin King. With the exception of Bowie and Connelly, most of the significant characters in the film are played by puppets produced by Jim Henson's Creature Shop. The New York Times reported that Labyrinth had a budget of $25 million. Labyrinth was a box office disappointment and only grossed $12,729,917 during its U.S theatrical run. The film opens with a barn owl watching a teenager, Sarah reciting lines from her favorite book called The Labyrinth in a park. Following her parents' departure Sarah realizes that her teddy bear, Lancelot, is missing from her room.

V for Vendetta (film) V takes Evey to his home, where she is told she must remain until 5 November the following year. After learning that V is killing government officials, she escapes to the home of her boss, comedian and talk show host Gordon Deitrich. Returning to the store upon trying on the flip flops she bought, Novalee meets Thelma "Sister" Husband (Stockard Channing), a woman who runs the Welcome Wagon in town. Willy Jack Pickens gets into trouble with the law for helping a 14 year old girl that did some looting and is arrested. Novalee manages to live at the store for several weeks. Novalee enjoys her life at Sister Husband's, becomes friends with Forney, works at Wal-Mart.
