According to the photographer, “An abandoned Six Flags amusement park, someone spray painted ‘Six Flags 2012 coming soon’ on the wall above the downed head. But they were clownin.’ Six Flags will never rebuild here.” That’s sad, but much of New Orleans has not been restored to her former glory. Welcome to Zombie Land kids! Chained dreams of fun at Six Flags New Orleans, abandoned Jazzland – that’s what Six Flags opened as “Jazzland” in 2000. Some photographers can see past the lifeless amusement park’s decay and desolation, showing us that there is still a chance the place could be cheery and not cheerless. Like a Bad Dream. Just in case you don’t know the scoop on what Hurricane Katrina did to New Orleans and Six Flags, this photo is of New Orleans, LA, on Sept. 14, 2005. Once upon a time, Six Flags was filled with children’s laughter – but now it’s sad, silent, and surreal. No lines for dead rides. Watch out for that tree! No one wants a ride?

All Geared Up and Raring to Go! This comic was intended to be the way that developers dress their heroines in comparison to the heroes, but I guess it could also represent the way that a lot of male gamers dress up their female characters, as well. Your choice. See Torneko in the comic? He originally appeared in Dragon Quest IV, but he was also the main character from one of my favorite video games ever: Torneko: The Last Hope. Paul Caddens Hyperrealistic Drawings Made with Graphite and Chalk Paul Cadden is a Scottish-born hyperrealist artist who creates painfully realistic artworks using only graphite and chalk. I’ve posted some pretty realistic drawings in the past, like Rajacenna’s detailed celebrity portraits, Juan Francisco Casas’ photo-like ballpoint pen drawings, or Paul Lung’s pencil artworks, but the pieces you’re about to see are on a whole other level. Using simple materials like graphite and white chalk, Paul Cadden is able to replicate complex photos down to the tiniest details. Whether it’s the countless wrinkles on an old man’s face, the smoke from a lit cigarette or the water dripping from someone’s face, he makes it look unbelievably realistic. “Although the drawings and paintings I make are based upon a series of photographs, video stills etc, the art created from the photo is used to create a softer and much more complex focus on the subject depicted, presenting it as a living tangible object. via Deviant Art Reddit Stumble

10 Very Good Reasons Why You Should Grow a Giant Beard Photo &A Splash of Rose& by Anthony Chang Now THIS is the reason why I bought that glass rose! This photo is actually going to be used for one of my assignments at school, but you know I would have done this either way because its such a cool idea hahaha. Now this is something I'm really happy about, I like the way it turned out, though just like a lot of things this ain't an original idea, I'm not that creative hahaha. This is my atempt at a photo someone else did on Flickr. I saw it a few days ago while looking for a good example for my assignment and knew I had to try it out myself. This photo is a composite... Lesson 919 - Willful Logic UPDATED: There have been a number of concerns raised about what I meant by "gender" in the comic. So let me try to explain my perspective as simply as possible: I have always viewed "gender" as being an overly simplistic linguistic construct that doesn't have any form of identity tied into it, while "sexuality" is much more fluid state of mind that covers identity and ambiguity. While others define "sexuality" strictly based on attraction, I've always taken the approach that it's a term that covers identity better than "gender" ever could. This is a different approach (as I've come to learn over the past day) than a ton of other people take (perhaps you're one of them?). In some ways, this is like informing an American that everyone else has been calling soccer "football" for a much longer time than American football has existed. Just because the gender symbol for a dynamiquad is a dragon does not mean it is the hip definition to apply to yourself, kids.
