Perrys' Plate: Stacked Roasted Vegetable Enchiladas 1K+ This is such a great dish. It’s customizable. It’s fairly healthy. (Hello, check out all of the veg!) Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes Recipe As I mentioned on Friday, I have been doing some experimentation with the beer and chocolate combination. The Guinness-chocolate ice cream that I made totally kicked butt, so I couldn’t wait to see how I liked beer and chocolate in my cake. The answer? I like it, a whole heck of a lot.

Cinnamon Sugar Pull-Apart Bread I’m sorry. I know it’s Monday morning and you probably came here for some pretty pictures of food that you could glance at, and then move on with your day… and here I go thrusting warm, soft cinnamon sugar bread in your face. It’s not fair. I know it’s not fair. I know that now you’re craving cinnamon rolls, and cream cheese frosting and chili fries and hot dogs. Broccoli Pesto © 2011 Green Kitchen Stories If I say pesto you say … broccoli?! No, I didn’t think so. Like most people we are normally pretty conservative when we make pesto. For us, it might have something to do with the fact that it is one of Luise’s favorite things to eat.

chocolate banana crepes This past Friday night was meant for celebrating. The weather was sit-out-on-the-deck-in-the-cool-evening-breeze perfection. Friends gathered from all around the city with chips and salsa and salads and popcorn and laughter and stories to share. The fire pit was aflame. The candles were lit on this (gluten free and vegan) carrot cake. And a very special birthday girl turned the big 3-0. Penne with artichokes Ahhh springtime in Paris! I love everything about spring; a time when flowers start sprouting up from the ground and trees growing their leaves. I just appreciate the smells and sights of spring! Oh how I love spring. I love to hear birds chirping in the newly leafing trees, see the crocus peeking out of the flower beds and what I mostly love is not having to bundle up before going anywhere!

good for you breakfast loaf & Haute Box March 23, 2011 by allison n Raise your hand if you enjoy a warm slice chunk of quick bread in the morning or as a snack? Maybe it’s banana nut bread, blueberry bread, cinnamon swirl bread or pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Homemade Stuffed Pizza Crust Recipe I think there are very few who can vouch and say that they DON'T like Pizza! Its not the healthiest thing to be munching around all the time, but then on occasion when you enjoy it, nothing competes the heartiness and deliciousness of a yummy pizza! I have had my share of pizzas and am at a stage when I can look at a Pizza and not go Ga-ga over it. There is no more salivating or uncontrollable drooling over a dominoes pizza crust. But sometimes on those rare occasions that it does - I need to devour a pizza right then and there. I cannot wait for those 45-60 minutes for the pizza man to arrive!

Roasted Tomato Soup : Cafe Fernando – Food Blog - roasted tomato soup - tomato - tomato soup - tomato soup recipe - Soup October 30th, 2009 | Category: Soup I guess I am a bit late about this roasted tomato soup recipe as the season is over, but better late than never (or next year), right? This roasted tomato soup with goat’s cheese crostini recipe belongs to Gordon Ramsay and was published in his column at Times Online. Banana Ice Cream Sandwiches & Veggie Wedgie I really love frozen bananas-who doesn’t? Raw banana ice cream has been one of my favorite treats since last summer- it’s so easy and quick to make! Now that the weather is warm again, I started making it more often but this time I thought I should try something different- I wanted to make ice cream sandwiches with banana filling, and since I was making the filling raw, I thought that it would be cool to also make the cookies raw, no? The result was pretty good : a very light, dairy free and nut free creamy treat! I must warn you though, the ice cream is not very sweet ( I like it better that way), so if you want this to taste more like dairy sugar load ice cream, I suggest you add a couple tablespoons of agave syrup when you blend the filling.

Homemade Samoas & - StumbleUpon Yeah, that’s right. I made homemade Samoas. OK, so these are a bit more time-consuming to make than your average cookies (there are a few assembly-related steps), but they are so worth it. Because Girl Scouts don’t come along nearly often enough. Two Peas & Their Pod - StumbleUpon Cinnamon Streusel Pancakes When we went to California in November, we spent a day eating our way through Los Angeles with our good friend, Amanda, from Kevin and Amanda. Amanda had a long list of food places for us to try. We started our food feast at The Griddle Cafe in Hollywood. Amanda recommended the “Recess Time” pancake, which is a double-filled cinnamon streusel pancake.

Baked Lemon Pasta I love simple dishes like this. They remind me of my single vegetarian days in L.A. when I’d often come home from work and find a total of three grocery items in my kitchen. This is in contrast to the 9.446 grocery items in my kitchen now—everything from bacon grease to a freezer full of beef, but we won’t go there today. Lemon is an unlikely flavoring for pasta, but oh…is it ever refreshing and good, especially in the spring and summer.
