The Crosswalk Every once in a while, a seemingly-simple email comes around that ends up being quite profound. This is one of them. Awesome!! We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we cannot. Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain.... Love styles Love styles are modi operandi of how people love, originally developed by John Lee (1973,[1] 1988[2]). He identified six basic love styles—also known as "colours" of love—that people use in their interpersonal relationships: Clyde Hendrick and Susan Hendrick of Texas Tech University expanded on this theory in the mid-1980s with their extensive research on what they called "love styles". They have found that men tend to be more ludic, whereas women tend to be storgic and pragmatic. Mania is often the first love style teenagers display. Relationships based on similar love styles were found to last longer. Styles[edit] Eros[edit] Akin to limerence, eros is literally the love of Beauty. Erotic lovers view marriage as an extended honeymoon, and sex as the ultimate aesthetic experience. The advantage of erotic love is the sentimentality of it. Ludus[edit] Ludic lovers are players. Ludic lovers tend to view marriage as a trap and are the most likely of the love styles to commit infidelity.

Lesson 1 Intro To Genesis Details Category: Genesis Week 1, INTRODUCTION Today we start a journey that millions of Hebrews and Christians have taken over the last 3000 years. The Torah is the Hebrew name for the first 5 books of our Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Torah is not a word you’ll find in our modern bibles. Over a hundred years ago, a company in Atlanta, Georgia wanted to join in the new and growing market for flavored, but non-alcoholic, beverages. Coca-Cola so dominated the soft drink market that a curious thing happened: it garnered a nickname: Coke. Now, any American would perfectly understand that dialogue and not find it at all odd. Torah is the same way. But, wait, it gets more complicated. Today, what we Christians call the OT, Jews call The Tanakh. Over the centuries, the Traditions that had been handed down by word of mouth were eventually formalized and written down. One of curious conditions of modern Christianity is that the OT has been all but forgotten.

Products | New Testament Greek Hell, Hades, Gehenna, and the Realm of the Dead (Acts 2:27) Hell is a slippery concept; and no, I’m not talking about recent debates. I am talking about what the word ᾅδης means. I was reminded of this in reading the NIV of Acts 2:27. ᾅδης occurs ten times in the New Testament.
