Maybe you would think about writing or drawing, but there is an artist who really thinks out of the box. She is Jennifer Maestre, a sculptor. Dopo il lavaggio e l’essiccazione, rimuove con precisione chirurgica ed estrema cura i segmenti in eccesso, usando una tecnica simile a quella del tradizionale paper cutting. Quest’ultimo passo è ovviamente il più difficile vista la fragilità del materiale scelto, il risultatò di questo processo è una serie di affascinanti disegni geometrici incredibilmente belli e dilicati. Sculptures de crayon - Dalton Ghetti Nouvel artiste à ajouter dans la catégorie (toujours fictive) « Insolite » et néanmoins talentueux, voici Dalton Ghetti et ses sculptures de crayon. C’est vraiment impressionnant et je vous invite à jeter un oeil. Depuis 25 ans, Dalton Ghetti exerce avec minutie sa passion. Vu la taille d’une mine de crayon en graphite, on peut dire que cet homme a une patience et une habileté impressionnante. If you look at his site he usually draws with pencils or paints with watercolours, these paintings are proof that you can produce art in a variety of unconventional ways. There are some out there that say that these paintings, could not have been painted with the ice-creams, Othman says that, that is what he used as his paint, maybe next time he should do a time lapse video to prove them wrong. Sculpture sur Papier - Calvin Nicholls It was only a matter of time before Calvin Nicholls' life-long passion in art and wildlife combined! The Canadian has been a full-time paper sculpture artist since the mid-1980's. With such a variety of animals in his collection, he's essentially created his own paper zoo. Many of the animal paper sculptures belong in Nicholls' most extensive collection, which includes over 75 pieces for Follett Library Resources in McHenry Illinois. "Initially a rigid form is constructed which establishes the contours of the subject and provides a stable base upon which the detail pieces are attached," Nicholls' says, as he explains his process. Having grown up near the sea, that is where artist Lia Melia continues to find her inspiration. "The seas moods can always express my deepest feelings," she explains.
