Here is the Key To Unlocking Your Child’s Heart Smart parents give their children a million answers. Wise parents ask their children a million questions. And so smart parents might know, but wise parents understand. I love it when someone asks me a thoughtful question for three reasons. First, it shows that the other person cares enough to try to get to know me. Second, it shows curiosity – which is one of my favorite traits. Getting to know ourselves and others is the greatest adventure. Besides myself and Craig – there are three people I want to understand more than I want anything else in the world. The trouble is that keys are only useful if you can get your hands on them. SO LISTEN. And so I reach in and pull out a key: “If you were an inventor – what would you invent, and why?” I love this jar because it livens up our evenings and helps me know my babies better – but it doesn’t end there. I wanted to give you this gift for Mothers’ Day. Hello! So, this jar. You’ll notice there are 2 sets of questions. Will you try this with us?

Cisco WebEx — Online Meetings and Video Conferencing 30 Things You Can Do To Promote Creativity in Your Classroom The concept of teaching creativity has been around for quite some time. Below are 30 Things You Can Do To Promote Creativity in Your Classroom: Academics such as E. Paul Torrance, dedicated an entire lifetime to the advancement of creativity in education. In recent times, there has been a shift towards the increased acceptance of valuing creativity for all learners. Much of the blame for a lack of creativity, and therefore innovation, can be traced to our traditional educational systems. It relies on teaching to the correct answer. In the same way, David Hughes, founder of Decision Labs and professor at UNC Chapel Hill, argues that innovation is an essential skill for our global economy. Most of the practice of creative methods is being done outside the traditional educational institutions by consulting firms and by persons in companies who have been trained in creative problem solving methods. 30 Things You Can Do To Promote Creativity in Your Classroom: Cited from:

It-tempen för skola och förskola Puppet Pals 2: School Edition What It Means To Think Critically What It Means To Think Critically by Terry Heick This post has been updated from a 2014 post For educators, as a term critical thinking is similar to words like democracy, global, and organic: You hear people use them all the time, but no one seems to understand exactly what they mean. This kind of etymological opacity lends itself to them being misused, fumbled awkwardly, and abused. If we can, for the purpose of the here and now, agree that critical thinking means something along the lines of thinking to produce judgment, then we’re already two thirds of the way to making some kind of new meaning ourselves here. Critical thinking is among the first causes for change (personal and social), but is a pariah in schools –for no other reason than it conditions the mind to suspect the form and function of everything it sees, including your classroom and everything being taught in it. Of course, critical thinking without knowledge is embarrassingly idle, like a farmer without a field. Intent.

Home | AC History Units A Must Have Google Drive App for Teachers May 8, 2014 Since the introduction of add-ons to Google Drive a few weeks ago, I tried several of these extensions on my Google Drive and I am really impressed by the great service some of them offer. Today, I am sharing with you one of my favourite apps to use on Google Sheets. This add-on is called Doctopus. Doctopus is a handy Spreadhseet script which allows teachers to make copies and hand out google Drive files to students listed in a Google Sheet. Doctopus also allows teachers to keep track of their shared documents with the possibility of providing timely feedback to students right in the spreadsheet itself. Watch the video below to learn more about how to use Doctopus on your Google Sheets.

Appen kostar 45:- i Appstore.
