75 Awesome "Looking Into The Past" Pictures

when they line up and it really looks like a window to the past, it looks awesome. I can forgive the slightly off angle, and not matching 100%, even a few foliage/reconstruction/fingers in the way marring what would otherwise be a perfect recreation, but there are several included that seem random, like the train station (only the hill angle matches) or “mom at the wooded beach”, which needed further proof they were at the same location. the “parents on the couch” shot could have been perfect if the finger wasn't in the way of the what looks like the only bit of architecture that lined up, so it looks like they took a random shot lining up with a couch today. Great project, tho, and I'm tempted to try this with pictures my sister has been posting on Ancestry.com (great-grandmother's house, local VFW, etc).

The Ruins of Detroit – - PlogPlog Photo Blog Posted Feb 07, 2011 Share This Gallery inShare850 Up and down Detroit’s streets, buildings stand abandoned and in ruin. French photographers Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre set out to document the decline of an American city. Their book “The Ruins of Detroit“, a document of decaying buildings frozen in time, was published in December 2010. From the photographers’ website: 70 Cutie Baby Animals Bring You a Good Mood Cuteness is usually characterized by some combination of infant-like physical traits, especially small body size with a disproportionately large head, large eyes, and round and softer body features. To those who are living in the concrete jungle, we have collected the following cute animals, hoping they could bring you a good mood and maybe, remind you of the wild world.

Hilarious Celebrity Portraits New York-based photographer Martin Schoeller loves to make us laugh! Take a look at his celebrity portraits of everyone from Quentin Tarantino to Chris Rock and you'll notice a common theme running throughout his work. They're wonderfully wacky! Having worked as an assistant for Annie Leibovitz from 1993 to 1996, Schoeller has the guts to create dramatic scenes that call for his subjects to work outside the box. He's been a staff photographer at The New Yorker since 1999 and his work has appeared in magazines like Rolling Stone, Esquire, Vogue and Vanity Fair. No doubt it's his unique flair that captures our attention and has us eternally wondering what he's got next up his sleeve.
